In order to do this, I need to make sure that he doesn't have FIV and get him a rabies vaccine. I called the SPCA care clinic, SNAP-NC and left a message at the WC shelter about this. SPCA and SNAP won't help as he's already neutered and they only do that stuff if you fix the animal with them. My vet will do it but they want $110 minimum to look at him and I just spent a ton of money on my dog recently along with car repairs so I am going to cry poverty about that.
I was wondering if you could think of any low cost place that does rabies and the FIV test for cats without having to spay/neuter as he doesn't need that doing.

The only other option is my vet which is $111 and Petsmart which is cheaper $70 but they require me to sit there as a first come first serve Tues or Thurs from 2-4pm which means I'd have to take time off work.
At the shelter he'd get a chip as well so that is $11 less than my vet and with a chip. It might be the route I go with him. I already cancelled my vet appt as I just can't swing $111 right now for a cat that isn't mine. (though according to NC law he's mine LOL)
The SafeHaven folks only do that stuff when they neuter which this cat is fixed.
