about rev. rb aka troll magnet

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15

Many misunderstand what I share because I don't come from a "religious" background; I'm not filled with the doctrine and dogma of churches which is sometimes right, but is often wrong.

I didn't learn The Bible at the knee of some preacher who told me what it said (or what his order told him to tell me that it said). I took Biblical research classes to learn how to study The Bible so I could read it for myself - so that I could learn what God inspired holy men to speak, not what others have determined, rightly or wrongly, that He inspired those holy men to say.

What I share sometimes doesn't align with mainstream Christian religions which often wrongly teach Biblical scripture and precepts.

If you find yourself puzzled or disagreeing with what I'm sharing, pick The Book up and study it for yourself - really study it like 2 Timothy 2:15 above says, so that you to may learn how to rightly divide the word of truth.

I know what I know, not what someone else told me to know.

I urge you to go and do so also.

Hi Miss Rev,good to see you again. Wanted to stop in and say a quick hello and that "walk on water thing" was hillarious.lol

Evening, Rev! Thanks for you kind comments on my blog about the moon. I hope you don't get too much rain where you are. Have a great evening! I may check back in later, I'm here by myself most of the night tonight.

Well, there was some tearing involved but the acetone "treatment" worked. I think he actually just had to have a plastic surgeon do the repair on the area so there wouldn't be major scarring.

Troll magnet? Whaaat?

Rev - not too long ago, someone was telling me of a small publisher in Georgia, I believe, who only publishes children's books. I can certainly look into it and let you know. In any case, you have two options - you can go the traditional way and sell your books to mainstream publishers, or you can self-publish. With new POD publishers, self-publishing is quickly becoming very popular, since you don't have to invest much into it, and they only print what you think you can sell. The price per book decreases if you order large quantities, but just to get it out there you can also print a few and see how well the book does. Check out http://www.lulu.com . I have a friend who published her books through them and she is very happy. Children's books usually do have illustrations, so you might want to inquire about finding someone who would like to team up with you. I hope this helps some - call me if I can explain more. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

No problem. Let me know if I can clarify anything further. :) Have a blessed day.

Legit question from your profile comment:

Re "TROLLS BEWARE!!! - You will be immediately reported, blocked and deleted should you post on my profile or any of my blogs."

I'm not stirring up trouble, just curious what would be the basis of your "reporting"? (You are certainly able to block/delete anyone you choose.)

FE

FE -

Can't respond to you cause your profile's set to private.

Sorry!

God bless.

RB

Not "set to private" - why bother if you're on a public board? -I just never joined GOLO although I've been reading/posting on the WRAL boards l-o-n-g before GOLO ever arrived on the scene.

In retrospect that non-membership, at least for ME, was probably a good idea. There tends to be way too much activity on the unmonitored GOLO boards that simply does not appeal to me. I just use my own "ignore" function for such.

I'm sure you understand.

And.....God bless.

FE

I see.

For the record though, cussing and attacking get one reported and blocked, as do pictures of half naked males or females.

God bless.

RB

Hey Rev! In case you get this unknown request on Facebook, it's me! Your name popped up on one of my screens.

I am and my profile pic is my adorable 1 year old niece, Sydni!

Rev,my brother went out and got breakfast this morning for company.I would be delighted if you wanted to drop by this AM.Call me and I'll tell you how to get here if you can come.I have some errands to run this afternoon. So call me in case I am out.Love,Elaine

Good Morning!!

Hey, RB - Just wanted to get back to you on a post in yesterday's healthcare blog:

You responeded:

c)-it's our Tax dollars and that is not, despite congress's accounting, an infinite number. THEY'RE GOING TO SPEND OUR MONEY ANYWAY, SO HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT?

It's the "I give up' attitude that gives these fiscally abusive politicians their power. You're inidicating that you're resigned to giving up your earnings to the gov't. Will you still have that attitude when it goes from 40% of your pay to 50%, 60%, 70%? When would you draw the line on paying for your own existence? I try to be as generous as I can within my means, per the Bible. How will I have the means to be generous to my neighbors if the gov't takes more and more of my means? Just seeking a little moderation. We cannot allow the State to manage our everyday life and prevent us from interacting with our neighbors as WE see fit, not the majority. I am not resigned to giving more of my earnings to uncle sam.

Thanks, Rev, for the kind words! Glad you were a "regular" on my Picture of the Day blogs! Even the "irregulars" were great to have, too.

Enjoy your weekend, stay out of trouble, and good luck staying cool next week in the heatwave. Take care!

Have been better but...

(((hugs))) to you.

Hey,Rev.It's all good.My sister and her husband here until Monday an dmy brother will be here Sunday -Wed. helping me get my paper work together. Then i am going to Greenville,SC with him to take a break before I start work again. We'll try for something when I come back.Sorry.

Pointing out the obvious and speaking the truth is why we are both unable to post on friutcakes blogs....oh well.

Okay, Rev - what is it with Cheap/Willow and her comments? (Truth be told, I have to hand it to her on her current screen name - it's about as appropriate as they come.) But do you have any real idea of what's behind her behavior? Do you know if she's been diagnosed with manic depression disorder or something similar? Even a perpetual irritation with the world in general wouldn't bring on such a long lasting streak of consistent nastiness unless she's truly narcissistic.

"I've been watching Willow for over a year, and I think she's nutz."

I concur - no question. I was just wondering if you knew whether or not she's got an actual diagnosis of something other than a world-wide Judge Judy. Her behavior suggests she may be bipolar. Nothing about her holds water for long - I'm really hoping this business about her having kids is pure hooey.

((((((Hugs))))) to you.

"I thought the second doggy was a deer, cause of some brush or something that looks attached to its head."

Hi Rev! I love that picture of my girls, and as many times as I've looked at it, I never noticed that Savannah looks like a reindeer prancing in it. She was in front of a oak stump that had sprouts on it during the summer, so what you're seeing is the dead leaves on the sprouted branches, and when she reared up to chase Magic, that put the stump behind her head. Wow, good eye. I've got to tell Java Joe about this. Hope you're having a good day!

"The crunch makes it a little bit like pie which I can't have either"

Rev, we have to do something about your digestive tract - it's not possible to live without both jellies AND pies!

girl, you have always been good to me. And my physical issues are well known. Just be careful...this is only a blog space. But, just thank you for rides etc...I do remember peeps who help me. I am not an attention ho, despite my problems. I am in Apex now, closer, so we can do some golo gigs I hope.

Love the Maxine, luvvvvvvvvvv your posts, not quite sure I agree with all your Biblical philosophies, but you are the first person outside my church denomination that I have EVER heard use the term "rightly divided" . BTW, what do you mean by "troll" ? Hugs, Denise

Surely these cops have something better to do.

If not, lay some of them off.

God bless.

RB Rev. RB aka Troll Magnet

havent you heard rev? we already caught ALL of the drug dealers, murderers, rapists, and child molesters....now its on to Osa...Obama smearers

have a good weekend!! :)

Hey hun...I deleted all friends from my list. Hope you'll accept.

The email addy I had for you came back as a man. Not sure what is up with that.

Hope you are having a great night. Hubby and son are watching a 'gun show' so I decided to golo.

Thank you! Did the update...poor guy...I sent an email out to girls only so he didn't know what to think! lol

I think we upset that person on my blog. We didn't say anything wrong, just letting her know that murder wasn't the same as manslaughter, the charge he would have faced had he not helped her drown. Oh well. I didn't mean to offend. but it's getting harder and harder not to offend someone these days.

RB... Just for you. A little insight to the real me. This is what my daddy named me after. I was born shortly after. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-tRXewCAmU

Good morning to you!!!!!!

Hopefully after this week, maybe we can get together for lunch.I start 12 hour shifts and my brother is coming up or over to help get more things arranged.I'll know Monday night what the following weeks'schedules at work will be but I know my weekends will be the most free.I'll keep you posted. How are you? I am doing better than expected thanks to all the love from my families(sons, and daughter IL, brother,SIL,Sisters and all),my Golo family,my work family,my awesome neighbors(two of which I feel extra close to),my husband's friends and coworkers and so many others.

Rev,

“But God isn't concerned about your brain anyway; He's more concerned about your heart.”

If that turns out to be really true, I may be OK. Even though I don’t profess to be a good Christian, I do believe that my heart’s in the right place. I've always believed that was really the important thing ....

Have a great weekend,

Len (aka STS)

Rev,

The kitty is a rescue cat, “Creamy” by name. She’s one of 7 (yes, seven) that we have. Four are Siamese and the other three are strays that found the “X” on our door. You know about the “X”. It’s apparently the same kind of mark that hobos used to put near the houses of “good people” that would help them ....

Creamy is a serious, industrial strength female, about 10 years old. And a real love ....

BTW, I put up a link to a site that sells shirts similar to the one that I have. It does usually get attention ....

Later,

Len (aka STS)

Good evening Rev! Hope you're having a good weekend. The weather's not quite as tough (hot and humid) so maybe you're able to enjoy it a little early in the day!

Rev,I am so sorry to read about your eyes!Hope you are feeling better soon.I am back home and very peaceful.I loved my visit with Jim and Dagmar, they were, as always, full of love and support.Dagmar and I went shopping and ate lunch out.I am tired and almost ready to go to sleep.Catch you in the AM.

Rev,

I sent a few photos of our kittes to your e-mail address. They're high resolution, fairly large, files, so I hope they go through OK.

If you don't receive anything, let me know and I'll split them up into smaller pieces ....

Enjoy,

Len (aka STS)

Hello Rev, are your eyes any better? Will still be praying for you.

Rev, my first bulldog Sheba used to go to work with me every day - I worked at the U of Minn vet school, and a lot of people brought their dogs to work. Sheba knew she was not allowed to leave my lab, so she would lie in the open door with her head and front end out in the hall, but her behind still in the lab. That way, she got greetings from passersby, but was still being obedient.

Sometimes her friend Sunshine, a yellow lab belong to my friend Dr. George Lees, would come down the hall from his office for a visit. He would greet Sheba, collect a couple of dog biscuits (which I always kept in my lab), and then I would say, "Sunny, does George know where you are?" The tail would go down, and he would head back down the hall for George's office where he belonged - hopefully before George caught him.

I miss those days!

A friend of mine, Adrienne, had a big white poodle named Leucocyte. That was a very smart dog. At one point, my friend Mike was taking care of the dog while Adrienne was away - she lived in an apartment in NYC. One afternoon, Mike returned to the apartment and was upset not to hear any welcome from Leuco as he approached the apartment. If anything had happened to that dog, he would have to leave the country - Adrienne would never forgive him.

He unlocked the apartment and walked into the living room - silence. Then he spotted an empty cookie package on the floor. And Leuco? He was in the bathroom, which is where Adrienne sent him to punish him.

Just thinking about you and wanted to stop by and say hi.Hope you had a good weekend.

Heavier pads! Now wonder why Rev chimed in on this. She might know some thing about it. LOL

How do you know so much? LOL

Just trying to be funny. Did it work? LOL

.It's been rather hectic.Yesterday i went to the clerk of court to settle estate matters, the DMV to settle Hank's retirement fund, came home slept went to work last night.tonight I am off but my son and his friend are coming for supper and help me move bookshelves etc. out of the garage into the house so I can park my Beetle inside.I just got home from work,am eating breakfast and going ot fix chilli for them.Tomorrow I have to finish a project for work for extra credit,go to an appointment in the afternoon, then go to work.Well you get the idea.Next week should be alot slower.I am holding up fine.Just miss my husband when I have time to slow down! Thanks for your prayers and support.

pre-golo, Kim and I were on your case. Then I came to know you both in person...just try it girl. I betcha you would have a grand time at lunch together.

nevamind right now, just got this stupid neck to deal with, and a dog that has to be leash walked where we live now. She is in the corner groaning. Da dawg always comes first.

Hey,Sis!I had a wonderful tome this evening.Michael brought 2 of his friends over. I fed them homemade chilli, then they helped rearrange the garage so I can actually park my Beetle in it!!!I have never been able to do that in any home we lived in and I couldn't do it here because, well Hank was a slow mover about things, especially after the stroke five years ago. I work Wednesday and Thursday then I am off for the weekend!!!I actually hung my new hummingbird feeder that my youngest sister gave me.I really enjoy having people visit.Hank was always too tired after working to have much company. This is something had had not reallized how much I had missed.Well.I need to finish the extra credit project poster for work. We'll get together soon, promise.

hey, i saw the comment that you left on the story about maria taylor and the hit-and-run and i just wanted to say thanks for praying for me. :) i know a lot of people hit their knees that morning (my youth pastor's wife did and she had no idea who it was at the time!) and i know all that helped. i had a very speedy recovery and i know i drew much closer to God. thanks :)

DRAGONFLY -

I sure wish your profile was public so I could post a comment there about how blessed I am to hear from you and to hear that you are doing better.

If you ever need anything, just drop me a line at the email addy above.

God bless.

RB

Hey Rev. Nothing was pointed to you, and never will be. There are several of us that have been going back and forth forever( in a civilized way ). Some of the "new virgins" are more interested in lashing out as opposed to making conversation........

You know exactly what I am saying

My objective on here is to learn something and talk to people I probably will never meet.... I am a people person. It is what I do for a living.

I think I remember that comment, it was pointed in your direction. I am 47 and respect those who have wisdom above me. I always read you comments.......

Thanks for checking me out.
