Many misunderstand what I share because I don't come from a "religious" background; I'm not filled with the doctrine and dogma of churches which is sometimes right, but is often wrong.
I didn't learn The Bible at the knee of some preacher who told me what it said (or what his order told him to tell me that it said). I took Biblical research classes to learn how to study The Bible so I could read it for myself - so that I could learn what God inspired holy men to speak, not what others have determined, rightly or wrongly, that He inspired those holy men to say.
What I share sometimes doesn't align with mainstream Christian religions which often wrongly teach Biblical scripture and precepts.
If you find yourself puzzled or disagreeing with what I'm sharing, pick The Book up and study it for yourself - really study it like 2 Timothy 2:15 above says, so that you to may learn how to rightly divide the word of truth.
I know what I know, not what someone else told me to know.
I urge you to go and do so also.

I can't believe you're moving back to PA. What part? I'm from York (very south central). I'd wager that PA is about the most beautiful state in the country and I do miss the rolling hills and valleys and OMGosh those beautiful old farms and farmhouses but I wouldn't want to go back to those winters for anything! Yikes!

One day you just lit into somebody (deservedly so), which you had never done previously,as far as I knew. Since around that time, your tone changed from patient toleration to "I don't care what you think... here's how it is". Which, I think works MUCH better in this environment.
I honestly wondered for a while if someone had hijacked your user ID!

I've never been able to find shoes there, but I know what you're saying -- I'm flat-footed, so I need something with good arch support.
The Goodwills in Wakefield & Wake Forest usually have an incredible amount of good quality housewares, and you can often find sofas and chairs there, too.
Just curious, are there any great thrift stores you would recommend in the area?

The thing is, you've got that "rev" in front of your name, and hon, that automatically makes you held to a higher standard. I think you are most awesome, and yes, I've been fairly absent lately (have had some stuff on the homefront that has required immediate attention), but I know you're above all the mud slinging. I, on the other hand, thought I was, but have been on the receiving end of perception (and the wrong one at that), so I can feel for the other team, and have thrown a little mud myself. Personally? if you take the Rev of the prefix and roll with the SWW, you'll be able to sling it as well as receive it, if that makes any sense.
My boss told me something that I will never forget. Folks' perception is equal to their reality. ;)

Glad you're enjoying meeting people outside of golo as well. I've not heard a bad word about you, only what I've seen transpire online.
The Rev part is a little hard to digest, but I remember you doing that on the WRAL boards (I think). WE all beat to our own drums!

I think you are a positive influence on Golo, but sometimes it is better to just step back away from the situation. I honestly believe if we get involved in a situation that God does not intend for us to be involved in, we end up doing more harm than good. Prayfully pick your battles.

Forget the emails, forget the phone calls. It is pot-stirring, shug. If people you've had issues with even before GOLO speak about you here, is it really a surprise? The people that know you from here know you. Trust that.
You, dear heart, out of the most innocent intentions, have decended to their level. Remember what you said about donating to Sherryberry - that if the intentions weren't Godly, then they were devilish? Well, please reflect on what your intentions were in the last 24 hours. Yes, people spoke ill of you. Many spoke ill of our Lord? They even killed Him. How did He act?
So think again about if your actions have been Godly or not. Rev, there's no accusation or blame here. You are human. Your words may have felt justified, but they were not Godly, and it is demeaning you. Be strong =0(

Just don't get sucked in, beccause it is a vortex that can claim your soul. Others will still call or email about those comments. They are stirring the pot as well, though thay may be doing it with the best intentions to protect you. Just remember, YOUR protection is your reputation. Only you can harm that. The catterwalling of others does nothing to diminish you - only you can do that. And that's why Jesus was perfect - an island of integrity amidst the lies and accusations. His strength was His integrity. Wrap it around yourself, and it will be your armor as well.
And yes, I am careful. I can read devilish intent behind the sweetest of words. Only one on here had me fooled for a time - one who is thought to be above. But I know now, and choose where, when, and how I speak carefully.
And I want to thank you for one other thing "Yes, I know you are right.." LOL, from you, sweet praise indeed! (J/K, but I do wish I could frame them, LOL)
