I have worked as a writer, graphic artist and photographer in publishing, pharmaceutical and hi-tech advertising, performing arts, new and traditional media, and am now working in the non-profit world again.
In my "spare time" (and to keep my skills sharp), I'm some combination of freelance writer, photographer and graphic artist for Our State Magazine, WRAL.com, a handful of local newspapers, and private industry.
My favorite pasttimes are spending time with my family, hiking, golfing, gardening, art history, knitting and reading. I also have high hopes of becoming a successful novelist and seeing the world before I'm too old to enjoy it.

You sweet thang you. If Sickles is your last name you might want to think about modifying it. Sounds like a disease.
I'm not familiar with Apex but by looking on a map it appears to be an area where yuppies go to avoid the violence of the inner city. I don't blame you.
My teeth are slightly whiter than yours but I don't drink coffee the way you do.
I need your help. I have a boatload of day lilies and I hear they need to be divided. I need detailed instructions on how and when to do this. Do not let me down when I say detailed I mean detailed.

Your on the right track with your family history. I would also suggest a computer program to help. I use Family tree maker from ancestry.com. It not only helps keep everything organized, but also has search option that will download information that you find directly from their website into your file, it the best on the market to me. The best deal I've seen is at Staples. The kit with software is 89.99, but that also includes a 1 year membership to their website, which usually cost 159.99 by itself. There are tons of records on their website and you can access part of it for free, check it out. I'm always glad to help, just ask.

If I finish with my current book in enough time, I will definitely check out your recommendation for the book club. Typically I can read a couple of books simultaneously, but I'm pretty involved in my current and I know that I won't read others until it's completed!
