It's snowing was a joke!!

Thanks for posting on my blog. Just wanted to let you know that I found a great job in Raleigh! I start next week!

Take care!

Ciao Wonder woman, Man...you're working today too! Bummer. How much snow did you get?

Hi Wonder woman, the WRAL news page has a video clip of a Pasadena Do Dah parade, about a min long. You should take a look. It took me back :).

Dolly, you sure are hard to talk to. Where are you at all of these days. Have you had to stop blogging? I miss the good communication we used to do last fall.

So Dolly, I tried to send you an email and got an auto reply stating that you don't work there anymore? Hope all is well in whatever you are doing now!!

Well the new job is going ok, but Ashley is struggling to find a job and it's actually sounding like we may be moving back to Raleigh within the next month. She got a couple job offers where we used to work in Raleigh. So it's entirely possible I could be back in Raleigh within the next month. But we shall see over the next week or two what happens.

I hope so too!!!

So seen any good movies lately? I saw Juno and Untraceable the last couple weekends. Both were great movies. I can see why Juno was nominated for some many awards, the high school sarcastic humor in it is priceless!!! Untraceable is a movie similar to Saw that has you guessing what's going to happen next.

Hey Dolly - It was great to fun into you yesterday! -D

Hey Dolly, I hope you are doing well! How are your seedlings doing? I haven't started any yet...bad Lauren!

I have a question for you, for myself and especially for a friend of mine. He is interested in getting some type of palm for inside the house, beside the window with afternoon light. I don't know much about indoor plants, so maybe you'll have some ideas. It would sit near a vent so humidity may be an issue for him. Got any ideas? Thanks Dolly!

Thank you so much Dolly! I really appreciate your support! I was really badgered today! I thought my blogs were pretty well rounded. I do about 90% information and 10% promotion, I thought that was fair! I didn't mean to upset people! Anyway, thanks again for your continued support! Have a great week!

Hello Dolly.... So, how is the new job? Want to try and plan lunch again? Good to see you on here, you need to join the RaleighRevolution too. You'll find a lot of old friends and some cool toys :-)

Let me know about lunch. Dawn

Pick away at this old brain :-) And let me know about lunch.

Got it, back at ya'!

Happy ♥♥ ♥♥ Dolly!!

Dolly, are you still wanting to do that interview tomorrow? Angela has my contact info (hopefully still). The wrestlers begin arriving tonight.

Dolly, if you need directions, the church web site directions page is:

http://www.theprinceofpeace.org/Location/location.html

Looking forward to seeing you Saturday!

Dolly, you wrote an excellent interview article. Now, why did I just *know* which pic you were going to tag to the main page article....:-)

Ciao Dolly. How are you?

Amen Dolly...good posting. I know at work, admiin had us take down all "suggestive" calendars and such because it creates a "hostile work enviroment". Even those benign ( to some) Snap-On Tool calendars..i.e., bathing suits, bikinis...etc. I can see the same logic applied to GOLO...if it creates a "hostile work enviroment", then disallow it. Another thing I think of, is why should the administrator of GOLO be subjected to wading thru some of the filth that's been posted lately. Not to be graphic but..."pix of women with ejaculate dripping from their faces, on and on going convo's of 'pearl necklaces', same sex open mouth kissing and groping, etc, etc". I know I'm rough as a cob sometimes, but I try not to stomp on anyone's religion and I don't think much of demeaning pictures of women. That's sexist I guess as the same "beefcake" type pix don't annoy me but they make annoy the next person. It seems the offenders are the same ones over and over. If I had the power to make them go poof...

Bravo Sister, ain't it nice to be able to say what you want? Excellent post you made. Elcid blogged similar yesterday and I said that the twice daily (minimum) T&A is ridiculous. Even I am saddened at the level this has taken Golo, you guys worked too hard to let this occur. If people can't have intelligent conversations and just want to all the time post that mess they need to go to MySpace.

You know I am not a big feminist but I really thought we had moved past being viewed as only T&A too. Guess maybe we need to compare annual earnings with some of these sexist pigs....that might shut them up. Monday works great, let's do 11:30 to beat the crowd. Email me where...can't wait to see you!

In an effort to try and 'interact' more with my 'friends', I am writing this note to all of my 'friends' to say 'hi'. So.... 'hi', 'have a nice day' and 'hope everything is going well!'.

Does that work?

dolly, I just got around to reading Angela’s blog on suggestive images and your posts to it. I agree the quality of GOLO has disintegrated significantly. It now seems more of a social network with very little being contributed of any intelligence in the blogs. Jokes are fine and light-hearted banter is fine too but the amount that goes on now and the raciness of many posts and blogs has reached an all time high. Before I could count on multiple blogs with interesting insights and ideas that challenged me and made me think. Now I am lucky to find one or two a day that contributes anything positive to the community. And this is after sifting through literally dozens of jokes, put downs and suggestive photos. I know it saddens you and others that had a vision for this site that has seemed to been cheapened. Just wanted to let you know my feelings.

No problem. Glad you're still around at least! Have a great day.

Thanks, Dolly! Stay tuned for some exciting news about a great event in April!

Thanks Dolly, so did I!!!! Did you get the email invite I sent for second Monday every month?

work

Thanks for the kind words in that blog DSicks!!! Ur a good person. I am just kinda tired of a lot of the stuff that goes on around here.

Hey Dolly! How are you doing? Well, I hope. I got ecited about my flowers popping up so I just had to tell you about them! My crocus have been up in full blast for the past 3 weeks, my iris are about to bloom hopefully this weekend, bearded iris have started blooming. I had planted some Snapdragons last summer adn decided against pulling them out this winter snce they stayed green, and now they're about to bloom too. Ahhhh..I'm going flower crazy. I have started some Roma tomato, beans, morning glories, and basil seeds indoors. So far they are doing pretty well. Anywho, I hope your garening is going well, hopefully you are as crazy as I am with Spring around the corner. =)

sending this to all my friends...

I started a raleigh based message board and am getting rather lonely talking to myself...please drop in and say hi and become a founding member! lol! :)

I'm still learning the board- I think it has more features than I know about, so as I learn, things shall be added!

http://raleighinfo.myfreeforum.org/index.php

Dolly, I can't believe you said this and you believe this... "As what seems like one of the few dems on the site, I appreciate the humor in the Republican Jesus (RJ). Here in the non-profit world (where I returned in February), the RJ is rarely sighted. We're all about the Helpful-Compassion-for-Your-Fellow-Humans-Make-the-World-A-B etter-Place-Jesus, which typically tends to be democrats. That's my people ... Good one."

Please make sure to extend this sentiment to any "would-be" republican donors you approach.

Good, please make sure to express your sentiments to any potential republican donors or christians.

Too bad all you compassionate dems didn't practice it - not referring to you here. BUT if you really wanted to measure who gives more ...how do you think it would swing?

"What? I don't go around singing about violence and glamorizing it, yet it's unchristian of me to judge them. Right?" It is unchristian to judge them as people, however it is absoltuely NOT unchristian to judge their works they have produced and put into the public. Is their work helping GOD's cause? If not, then there is a problem with that work. Love the sinner hate the sin.

I will email you my contention with this particular person and topic- it is not everybody's business. I will say that I hate a dam hypocrite - and I appreciate an honest beech more than a dishonest hypocrite. FYI- I AM a registered indpendent and (gasp) HAVE voted for democrats in the past. This political season I will only vote if Obama is running, to vote against him...otherwise I don't give a hoot between McCain and Hillary. SO, you are honest and upfront and I still love you...beech. LOL and YES it takes one to know one. I stand proudly before you as a self-admitted beech!

You should have an email in your personal box...might explain things a bit better. Love Ya, Mean it!

No, I hadn't, but thanks for letting me know. I will keep my eyes peeled. Thanks and I hope you are doing well!!

Hey DSicks, how are you doing today? Hope all has been going well!!!

oooo well I am glad to hear that you are up and moving again!!! That pic of Stallone I mostly put it up because of the veins. I was like... WHOAAAAAA!!!! Someone needs to put down the Human Growth Hormones and just step away from the HGH. lol. But everything has been going good for me. Just trying to get through each day and get all my work done. The usual lol.

Also, I have not seen any good movies lately. The one movie I want to see though more then anything is "21" that movie looks amazing. Of course, I love those gambling/card counting type of movies. Anytime I hear about something similar to card counting/gambling on TV I am watching it.

Yea, I agree on the Oceans series. I haven't seen Catch Me If You Can.

That's with Leonardo DiCaprio... right?

We took my 4 year old to see her 1st movie "horton hears...Who". She got up front afterwards and started doing a dance. This Friday, I'm going to see the Rolling Stones new release "Shine A Light" at the IMAX 2pm. Did you see Kylie Minoge on Dancing with the Stars last night? I like her.

hmmm...so you're a "compassionate democrat"? ;) Did you get vetted for that position or was it inherited? LOL Just yankin' yer chain. Have a Great Day!

Hey Dolly, Doing pretty good here. Got a lot of turmoil in the plant I work. Short range plans are to "idle" half our process, which will cause probably 175 +/- souls to leave. It's hard on everyone. I've been there since '81...some longer...some less..but anytime this kind of thing there's such a mixture of emotions. You being into the gradening and green thumb mindset, thought I'd share this. A lil guy, grade school just came up seeling candles for his church. I bought a jasmine and a honeysuckle jar. :) I was just this morning thinking of how good it is to catch that smell on the way home after work. I would love to find a candle that had the essence of kudzu. To me that is the sweetest, most calming smell there is...yet I've never seen in sold in candle or potpurri form.I guess us Sothrons just like our smells fresh and real, and not processed and bottled.Like Hog Heaven on I40 going thru Sampson County. An uncle once told me it smelled like money to him... ;) It's all perspective.

Hi Dolly, What it be like blood? How do you get rid of weed disease? I have weird looking stuff spreading all across my front and back lwans like crazy? Do you think weed killer gonna work?

LOL, great minds think alike! Good morning to you too.

T

Thanks for your presidential vote!

Mornin' Dolly..the motorcycle chart was nationwide. But it still shows how the rate has risen, but at the same time there are more and more bikes out there. We, as riders, just have to continue to look out more agressively for other drivers around us.

Putting up another chart and a short blog on bike/pedestrain deaths. Both are still pretty scary.
