I am the Managing Editor of GOLO. I've worked in broadcast, print and online news for 15 years in multiple markets including Cleveland, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. I moved to the area with my family in February 2007 and have had the pleasure of watching this community grow from its infancy.

There is still so much more to come here at GOLO, so stay tuned. I think you're gonna like it here.

I just thought of something, is there a way we could set up a bank account for people to deposit gifts in memory of Mike, so that Gary could have $$ for expenses? I was thinking about one of us being a point of contact but some may not be comfortable with that, if there is a bank account set up, it may be safer. Just a thought, what do you think?

I left early and went by BB&T on the way to class and was informed that in order to set up an acct for someone I would have to go through a lawyer, set up a trust, have a Federal ID number, etc. So on the way to school, I was going to get in touch with Gary and see if he wanted to have his address posted, have people sent donations to me, or open an acct himself (a personal one) strictly for this purpose but Viper told me that he had already talked to Steve and Steve was set up to run it through his business and he could accept debit and credit cards as well. That works for me. As long as something is done for Gary, I don't care who sets it up. I have Gary's address and will send something directly to him myself. I was late getting in from school and, battling a migraine for days, went straight to bed, so I am not sure of the arrangements Steve set up. If you could check and make sure all of GOLO knows, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!

NEVER MIND on the details regarding Steve. I was given incorrect information. I have set up an email account for people to contact me. They can send checks or money order to my home address, I'm fine with that, and they can make them out to either me or Gary. They can email me for my address, the ones that want to. whew! I can't believe the response by a few. I wish I had the time to go back to the bank numerous times but my working hours keep me confined here to the house and Steve did not want to assist, is the info I received. Hi Angela, I should have realized a call to you would have been better. The turnout was pretty impressive. 40-50 family member and volunteers were there. The news reported that rescue workers found Ca'zhia, when it was actually one of the volunteers and 2 family members.

SandhillsK9 (Frank) was there with Berry, his working dog. A prayer was said before heading out to search and it was answered. I had actually left about an hour before they found her. I'm so glad that she can now be laid to rest. What a shocker of a weekend it was, right after I got the call that they found Ca'zhia, I heard about Studley. Bittersweet weekend for sure. GOLO has lost a shining star.

Hi Angela! I try very hard not to complain, I try only to come here and be supportive. I don't know who the Golo Ghost personality is, but I do not find that kind of thing funny at all. To me it is very disrespectful. I am trying to give away a TV, and that personality seems to think they are going to lowjack my blog, so I blocked them. Thank you for the CD and print-outs for Gary today. We are sorry we didn't get a chance to meet you. Gary immediately went to play the CD and listen. He is one terrific person and we can see exactly why Mike loved him so much! :-)

Hey Angela, I had made a comment in a blog about maybe someone doing a scrapbook of all the blogs that have been done and dedicated to Mike/Stud & Gary/Bear over the last several days, and giving to it to Bear so he will have somthing to cherish, and may find comfort in how much the golo family LOVED his STUD. Im not much a computer person, and even worse at scrapbooking but I will give it a try unless someone else has already done this or can do it better.

Also,I was just wondering if there is way to keep a blog on the front page that could be used as a guest book since so many on here an unable to attend the service today. It would give everyone a chance to sign it as a formal good-bye to stud, and then it could be added to the scrapbook.

Let me know what ya think when you have the time....Oh, and thanks for doing such a good job on here!

I'm going to add my 2 cents worth on this golo ghost personality. It is in very poor taste, not adding anything to the blogs, just saying boogity boo, and carp like that. Very disruptive and very rude, in light of Mike's recent death, I feel. anything you can do? (ps, also, I saw the nasty comment a few spaces below me. Don't worry, I think it's a medication issue)

Good morning Angela! I thought about you yesterday, was sorry you couldn't make it to Stud's service. I know how much he thought of you, and so I decided I was there representing you, me, and several others. It really was a beautiful service and it was packed...I bet there were upwards of 300+ people. Mike was so wonderful he was loved by many of all color, gender, size and religion. He will be very missed but I believe he is at peace now. We are not guaranteed a set number of days and as the pastor yesterday said - we never know when night is coming, so we each need to be using the talent GOD gave us to serve Him and help others.

Your talent is building an online community from a very diverse group of people, this includes communicating, inspiring, welcoming, answering questions, helping others and sometimes playing referee. You do a GREAT job and do not let anyone ever convince you otherwise. You are one of the most PROFESSIONAL people I know. Thank you for all you do.

Thanks Angela! I understand that there are rules. And if you've noticed, I really truely have stopped posting blogs that I think are sexual, or ofensive. If what I posted was bad, I really did not intened for it to be,I wasnt even trying to be bad!! There WAS a pic of Shakira, from the waist up, FULLY dressed and covered, and she danced when you clicked the pic. (kind of a belly dance) But the pic was only from the waist up. And she was FULLY COVERED! It was in no way intended to be disturbing, or sexual, or mean. And I would like to apologize if it was. I guess all of my risky blogs from the past have caught up with me. happy Friday!! I hope your week has been a good one and you have a most relazing weekend. Do you happen to know if all is well with Bubbles? I was just a little concerned because she all of a sudden went dark and I know her circumstances with this pregnancy. I don't have her email, never asked for it, and now I wish that I had. I posted a blog late yesterday afternoon to see if possibly someone may know if she was ok, but it did not go over very well. Seems a few felt it was in poor taste, lol, only on GOLO. But I am concerned that something may have gone wrong and was just worried.
