I am the Managing Editor of GOLO. I've worked in broadcast, print and online news for 15 years in multiple markets including Cleveland, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. I moved to the area with my family in February 2007 and have had the pleasure of watching this community grow from its infancy.
There is still so much more to come here at GOLO, so stay tuned. I think you're gonna like it here.

While I may not agree with this person's opinions and we banter back and forth, for this member to make outright LIES against me is unacceptable:

I have NEVER pretended to be a Republican official nor have I EVER been FIRED from my job. This defamation has to stop.

Once again, I can deal with her name calling me, but I just had to create another blog to defend myself, she is specifically saying lies to me on here. I was just emailed this comment from one of her friends:

So, I see the issue from both sides (also having been both a "working" and a "SAH" mom). There are no right or wrong, it's what is best for you. Sometimes you don't have a choice but most of the time, there is some sort of choice that can be made.

You might want to follow this issue - maybe even get a reporter to take a closer look at these issues. Too many people are losing their homes even when they've been promised help and aren't getting it.

As to the coarse language topic - there's no way to please everyone (out of almost 15,000 golo'ers!?!). The FCC idea hit me last weekend watching TV around lunchtime when the common crude prefix to 'hole' was not edited out, but 'hole' was. I was like, "huh??" Then I thought of the whiners on golo and imagined the gnashing of teeth that would follow - and then be dumped on your shoulders! The FCC rules would be a way to continue your leadership in content, but have the recognition of an existing standard to back you up.

I have no idea WHO this individual is, only that I have reported abuse on it several times before.

I just do not understand how an individual who is so belittling and contributes nothing progressive is allowed to continue to exert such behavior with no reprimand, except a deleted comment, on occasion.
It is quite frustrating to see this type of behavior slip through moderation and TOS requirements.
