I am the Managing Editor of GOLO. I've worked in broadcast, print and online news for 15 years in multiple markets including Cleveland, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. I moved to the area with my family in February 2007 and have had the pleasure of watching this community grow from its infancy.
There is still so much more to come here at GOLO, so stay tuned. I think you're gonna like it here.

I would like to know what happened to Spunky's profile - it's wiped - she was one of the 1st 100 but now her member date is 7/8/2009. 3000+ lifetime comments and profile statement are gone - but all her friends still there, all her recent comments and all her blogs - how does this happen?

As you already know, since I've been on GOLO I've never recieved an email about abuse. I am thankful for that, I try to be honest and somber with my posts.
Also, you know I'm not Tabitha, Huck, Mark or any of these other IDs people accuse me of being.
Tabitha said vile and racists things in EKS blog, which is not in my character.

My thoughts ? Well I've emailed you a few but will say that the rest contributes to the fact you are letting tasteless comments adorn your site. People are constantly attacking each other on here and you're allowing it to stay. I cannot tell you how many comments I've hit abuse on - the comments were about other members and completely uncalled for. I assume after time it makes someone feel invincible. I think you should start deleting profiles and putting their IP in a time out. I know what you said about IPs, but I know you're capable of it! It just makes sense and might stop all the negativity. Especially with 13,000 members.
Imagine the ones who do not post, if you see a blog go up look at the ones who CONSTANTLY post.
And take a look at the dog naming contest.
Not rocket science!

Golo appears to have an abundance of those obsessed with drawing attention to themselves. You know who you are. Certainly, some have mental issues. They block/unblock/reblock etc. Basically, they are attention ho's.
Then the retaliation blogs follow (from those blocked), that further clutter the blog space. The end result is more drama and all of golo suffers. Sadly, neither party is really as important as they think they are.
btw, If I am blocked from posting on your profile, please show the respect of not posting on mine. You will be deleted fat face Hogbless, and SC, and yo udder attention ho's. You and them or so pathetic. Get a life.

He's brilliant if I do say so myself :) And amazingly, at his age he completely understands how different it is today vs when he was making his way in this world. How much more complicated it has become to secure a financial future.
I adore him :) I make him laugh when I tell him that in spite of myself, I did grow up LOL!

Found a quirky little thing that you may already know about, but just in case you don't I thought I would pass it along. If you include the 'less than' character in a comment then it will nor be diplayed nor will anything after it. See example below. Thought you might want to know.
I am going to try and type '5 (less than) 6 TEST' but you will see that only the '5' will show up.

I wasn't even on but maybe an hour all total from last Wednesday to today and it's just a mess with the same few. It's amazing how out of 13 thousand members there are maybe a dozen that constantly whine but continually do the same thing they whine about. It's like no one can see what they themselves are doing to contribute to the problem, only what someone else is doing.
I'm finding that I stay more and more in private groups

I went to a fellow goloers profile and noticed there was no friends request button. I was able to comment which meant I am not blocked or on ignore, but this goloers is NOT on my friends list. With that being said, why would the friends request button does not show?

if they remove a pic from a story ( the pic a person pics to go with the blog ) if you all remove it, REMOVE IT cause it still shows me the picture is there even though its been removed
