Thanks Angela! Hope YOU have a Great Day!! :)

Funny you should say that! I was talking to my sisters one day about "gifts" that each of us have. My gift is to work with horses. To me, it comes naturally. I've always imagined myself a Dr. Doolittle, even as a young girl, thinking I could talk to any animal. Call me silly! But I still feel drawn to animals, particularly the 'lost cause' animals. I've rehabillitated several horses who were on their way to slaughter. One I couldn't turn around and he broke my heart. He's the ONLY horse that has ever scared me. Over time, I think I could have turned him, but time was not on my hands since he wasn't my horse. His brother was able to trust and after some intensive work was very easy. I hope when we move to take in problem horses and turn them around. Who knows, maybe w/Cesar's help, I can rescue some dogs as well.

Hi Angela, I understand. but........I guess I wish there was a way to get a dog from the Wake County Animal Shelter profiled. The WCAS is a "kill" shelter, and knowing that, it would be so nice to try to have a "Wednesday's Dog." LOL! I remember, years ago, "Wednesday's Child." :-)

I know it's a long shot, but thanks to Sessy's idea, who knows! Maybe it could be a possibility. I'd be glad to go to the WCAS and take a picture of the "featured dog." I live, literally 4 minutes from the shelter! Five, if I catch the light on 64, so I am right at it.

As I always say, just a thought....... :-) Anyway I could offer my help, of course I would. I could take the picture, write up a synopsis....whatever it takes. IF you ever decided to do this (with the WCAS), please, please let ME know! I'd be the first to jump at the opportunity.

Beth

Hi Angela, I am "stealing" a comment that Dayum Sessy said on my blog on a dog I'm trying to find a home for! (The dog is at the Wake County Animal Shelter). I'm SURE Dayum won't mind, this was her comment:

I think Golo should have a "pet of the week" for adoption purposes.......

hint hint :)

Now, this is Beth speaking! LOL! I just wanted to pass this along to you - just a thought.

Beth

Hi, Angela, hope your week is off to a great start. Here's the Monday mising child: http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/2870749/

I know I'm such a geek over things like animal training. Well, I suppose I'm a geek about plenty of things. But if interest shows, I'll blog about our experiences. I took her for a walk today and we practiced some things when I got home from picking up the kids from school. She tried to jump at the door to come in. I stood up straight and stared past her. She immediately sat down and went into "calm-submissive" so I then let her in. She was more calm than normal. I'm actually quite amazed!

Good morning Angela! May I steer your attention to this blog: http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/2865286/?d_comment_order=reverse#comments_block

paintprosinc offered up free advice which you featured. After I noticed that he had not responded to questions, I answered a few for him (I also paint professionally).

Apparently, he resented the assistance and deleted 10 of the questions and comments. And still did not respond to any of the members.

I would be glad to start such a blog, and follow up with friendly help.

Thanks and have a great day!

Mornin' Angela, I just wanted to pop in and say what a thoughtful thing it was for you to highlight Juli's baby bird blog on the homepage. Hope all went well for him through the night. :)

Angela! Thank you so much!! I hope I need help with this baby through the weekend .... meaning, I hope he makes it.

Hello Angela. You still @?
