Chickadee

I found this finch fast asleep in the birdbath!
But he woke up
...but I stepped on a stick and he woke up!

Then he jumped around to the other side of the water.

He sat there for a bit reflecting on his day, I guess.

Red-bellied woodpecker hanging onto my handmade bird feeder.

Woodpecker picking some sunflower seeds. This is the first feeder that I've seen that allows a woodpecker to sit upright instead of hanging onto the side!
