house: re-assembly
She's finally at our land and she is being put back together.
Talk about a view! Of course, that will change once we actually have WALLS again! This is the upstairs. As you can see, the floors made it through this project w/o too much problem. Nothing that a good refinishing can't fix!
This is the view of the front yard from the upstairs.
We had to have a little help from the crane operator to remove this old tub from the house. It is a 1941 American Standard, cast iron and heavy as all get out. The crane op. said it was measuring in at between 500-600 lbs. No wonder we couldn't get it out of there. What we want to know is how it was put in after the house was built?
Just about finished!
This is how close they got it on their first attempt. Just a bit of tweeking and they did finally get it all lined up!
OK, so I'll finally fess up and show you guys who I am! Don't be too critical! It's a work day, afterall!

Two men operating two separate cranes, they cannot see each other, and yet they could place the upper level and have it this close on the first attempt! Edwards Crane - EXCELLENT job!
