I Think The "Haters" Ball Has Found A New Home on GOLO

RALEIGH — So this morning as I was looking at the stories on WRAL, I came across a story about the Salvation Army's Angel Tree project. For those who don't know Angel Tree is a Christmas service where people give gifts for children whose names they take off a tree. Well it was stated in the story that there is not a requirement to show income and one of the women interviewed happened to have her hair "done" while she was waiting online to apply for Angel Tree for her kids since she is a single mother who works part time. Well I looked at the comments (why since they are the same, I could create a bingo game based on GOLO comments and would always win). Anyways the comments ranged from why do "people" who cry poor have their hair and nails done and why do they have nice clothes and cars that are better than mine? Well bronzegoddess40 asked why when you think of people who are unfortunate you think that they have to have unkempt hair and appearances?

Well that got me to thinking "Why are there so many "haters" on GOLO? These folks have nothing better to do than sit and "hate" on those who apparently are trying to get themselves together. Last I checked, interviewers on jobs aren't checking for people who look like whodunnit and ran. I was laid off from my job back when the economy really took a hit. Before then I could pay my bills and still afford nice things. Now I do my own hair except for chemical treatments which I get done by my longtime stylist about twice a year. I do my own nails and since they are natural and I use hardeners my nails do look like they were done professionally. I wear nice clothes that are not designer labels, but they are clean and put together. I carry my Juicy Couture bag that I bought when I was working because it is mine, it's cute, and it makes me feel better about myself. I am still looking for work because now I live in a one income house with a baby and my unemployment has been exhausted. I don't look for hand outs because I was raised to be independent, however, I am not too proud to ask for help when it is needed.

In closing, before you start chugging the "hatorade" and feeding into the "hate" crimes, take a step back. You can't judge unless you have been in the same situation and I gage that few of you who constantly "hate" on here have. If you continue to "hate" on people long after this blog, that's cool. Just know that there is a table for you at the Player Hater's Ball.
