Tea Party Nation is pleased to announce the First National Tea Party Convention.

The convention is aimed at bringing the Tea Party Movement together from around the nation for the purpose of networking and supporting the movements' multiple organizations principle goals.

Tea Party Nation (or TPN) is a user-driven group of like-minded people who desire our God given Individual Freedoms which were written out by the Founding Fathers. We believe in Limited Government, Free Speech, the 2nd Amendment, our Military, Secure Borders and our Country!

Please join us, make and form strong bonds, network, and make plans for action. We are doing what we could not do alone, to preserve that which we value.

Special Keynote Speaker for the event will be Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska (2006-2009) and 2008 Republican Vice Presidential Nominee.

About Your Convention

This event is planned for our tea party movement people to have the most representation from across the nation by design. We want local tea party groups to select their best to meet with their peers from across the nation. The local tea party's themselves know who will best represent them, bring the best ideas, and have the most desire to move this process of organizing to the next level.

Though this event is geared toward representatives of tea party groups, anyone who supports the tea party movement is welcome to attend.

" that is a relatively new group of people that are forming...the leftists call them "Tenth-ers".

Dang, I am happy to maintain my record of only belonging to groups that have perjorative terms insofar as liberal leftwingnuts are concerned. :^)

"I would hope that there would be a push to de-centralize our government by reigning in the over-stepping of the federal government with the states reclaiming the power." that is a relatively new group of people that are forming...the leftists call them "Tenth-ers"

This is awesome. A special interest group that actually represents the majority of right-minded people. Yup. I said it. I would hope that there would be a push to de-centralize our government by reigning in the over-stepping of the federal government with the states reclaiming the power. Maybe, with some of the old dogs dying off or retiring, we could reclaim what is ours.

The Nebraska Medicaid giveaway ( in PERPETUITY ) is going to energize a lot of voters

Bi-partisan. LOL! Never has been and never will be.rightwinsucks

My my aren't we brave on our first day out on the job...You must know that the democrats in this administration don't know what the word means. It's hard to be bi-partisan when you sneak upon the floor and behind closed doors.

Perahps we'll see a Danton or a Robespierre rise from the turmoil. So much is the same. We have our armies off fighting a seemingly neverending war (just like France of the 1790's), people are increasingly alarmed that the government itself is insensitve to their cries (of course in France they simply cut the head off of the King, Queen and thousands of disidents)...taxes were mounting ever upward (deja vu)...I wonder if there are working guillotine's in America?

Thus far, Tea Party isn't a 3rd party, but an interest group. They either need to keep narrow their agenda, or expand it and become a party, addressing:

    tax policy

    Abortion

    Death penalty

    Welfare

    Same sex marriage

    Separation of church & state

    Patriot act

    Gun control

    Global warming

    Health Care

    Affirmative action

    Education

    Economy

    Medical –

    Stem Cell/genetic Research

    health care issues

    Homelessness

    Food costs

    Wars/actions

    Nukes – N.Korea/Iran

    Immigration

    Animal Rights

...to name a few, many of which would be divisive. Best to keep a narrow aim and then endorse with promises.

"It's going to get nasty before it gets better." yep

the Tea Party Nation consists of a group of people that wanted to bring the various Tea Party groups to a central website to begin to organize nationally. Very similar to what NCFreedom did, except on a national level, rather than a state-wide level.
There's also a national 912 group, and several other national groups. For example, there are over 40 local groups in NC, with approx. half of those in the umbrella of NCFreedom.
After the hundred or so people showed up in DC for 9-12, we decided we needed to get through the holidays and any local elections and begin preparing for 2010. That's what is driving this. I suspect instead of ANOTHER third party (Libertarian being the most well-formed and only viable third party) we'll see Tea Party groups infiltrating both the GOP and Gubment Parties in order to push both toward more conservative principles.

    "...formation of a third party."

The democrats are already realizing the end is near. Like, with the little clause in the health care dictatorial that says no future congress can repeal this farce. Within a year or two obama and the rest of these pseudo demagogues will be looking for a place to hide. I'd be looking for some serious freedom reducing follow-up legislation in the near future, gun legislation, immigration amnesty, race based social programs. It's going to get nasty before it gets better. But, better it will get.
