Not at all! Spackle will take care of most damage although new carpets and furnishings may be required if you actually hit target at close range......

You should also keep plastic and old towels around to limit the blood damage to the carpet or wood floors.

While true, I prefer one of my reliable handguns, a scatter gun causes too much damage to your house, and in my opinnion, a scum sucking home invader ain't worth the fix up costs.
