n.c. pays millions for state vehicles to sit parked
Published November 9, 2009Views: 543
And that is just the TIP of the iceberg. The AOC is a huge offender. Some people who work in Raleigh and live in Johnston County have a vehicle that they drive 24/7. I know of one that does not even own a car, just the state car.
Also, many of their managers have State cars. These managers do not drive it anywhere except from home to the office. If they cannot put the required miles on it a month, they "loan" it to someone who has more miles to drive. That way, they can keep their car, and the other person does not go over. EXCEPT, if that manager is only drive 100 miles a month, WHY do we need to pay for that person to have a car 24/7?
I am sure that happens in a LOT of agencies. And the other night, there were 12 State cars at IHOP. I am sure that they were there on business.

I dont know what agency you saw but it could have been a search team returning from a prison that had been out all night for about 11 hours with no lunch break looking for weapons, drugs, cell phones and gang activity.
If you dont know the whole story why beech about it.

They aren't going to acknowledge that, as it gets in the way of them having a good rant. People looking for something to be upset about rarely have any difficulty finding it.

I see why LEOs drive company cars to lunch, but why would the state pay the mileage for office employees? Are they all on th eroad and stop by for lunch?
