RE: the Fort Hood attacks
"The entire incident folks sounds very suspicious to me....Think about, it happen within moments of the Michelle Bachman Tea Party had ended....so now instead of the rally against this Healthcare Bill being publicized even in a negative light the Fort Hood incident receive massive media coverage. So 40,000 people that demonstrated Thursday was push back in the background.
The liberal/socialist Democrats know that their days are numbered and they are trying every means necessary to push their corrupted legislation and control through even if it means activate a 'sleeper cell terrorist' to kill other Americans. You may think that I am truly 'off my rocker' but I would not put anything by the Obama administration which it is well known that he has ties to Muslim extremists and Communist radicals."
This is an actual comment from an actual tea partier. It continues the trend of irrational hate and paranoia that has been going on for months. Folks, the right wing tea party fringe is getting out of hand. And the mainstream conservatives are either encouraging it or sitting idly by while it happens. If something isn't done about this movement, then it's probably going to result in Obama getting re-elected. Hmm. On second thought, keep it up!

Spreading hateful lies like Obama's a Muslim, Obama's not American, Obama's a socialist, Obama's a communist, Obama's a Nazi, Obama hates America, Obama's a terrorist. Sometimes it seems like they're trying to ensure his re-election.

Folks, there are nut cases on every side. It just amazes me that we take whatever so wacko says and apply it to all on that side of the isle.
Does anyone on here have a real life, or is this all you do all day long. Hey Quackers, maybe you should find something else to do with your time. I'm sure the SPCA or a local hospital would welcome you as a volunteer or something.

What do you think is the problem with the "tea party movement" as you call it. Does these people/group as you refer to them, instead of citizens standing up for their rights, offend or scare you. What would you say if this were the gay movement or civil rights, abortion movement, Million mile march movement, speaking out in civil ways. Would you wish them held back? Horrible things were said about each of those movements but they survived them. Maybe some Americans still believe that the persuit of happiness is an individual right and responsibility instead of the government providing for them. Now I say if the nation wants a NATIONALIZED Healthcare system then it needs to include everyone and that to me includes our senators. I see nothing wrong with the president only having elite insurance. Other than that then trying to promise equal healthcare is a bunch of baoney.

"That is paranoia.
It's not illegal to be a fundamentalist Muslim and be in the U.S. Military (he wasn't technically an "extremist" until the other day). "Liberal/socialist Democrats" love this country too, they just have different criteria for what that means."
So, you see, freezy, your generalizations are way off base.

Were you there? The D.C. FD estimated that 60-70,000 people attended the 9/13 event. 2'll take their numbers over Michelle Malkin's numbers any day. By the way, 60-70,000 is less than the attendance for the Richmond NASCAR race, so there's no need to get too excited over the 9/13 protest numbers. The leader for Freedomworks, the "non-partisan" organization behind the tea parties, said the following about ABC News' coverage and their report of the attendance (60-70k): "I regret misrepresenting the network, as their coverage that day was fair and honest..." Since not even Freedomworks thinks that 1M people attended the protests, why should anyone else?

Then why don't they say so? Didn't you see all the signs at the protests? Haven't you been reading posts on GOLO? All I ever hear from these people is how Obama is a Muslim socialist terrorist, he's destroying the country, he'll stop at nothing to silence opposing views, etc. Is it really that hard to say "wait a minute, that's not true?"
Okay, really going this time.
