Chavez of Venezuela is preparing for war with Columbia by saying that is the best way to Peace. Columbia is going to call on the UN. The US has a few forces in Columbia. Columbia, Panama, the Canal. ??
Afghanistan is the scene of record number of US troops deaths. The government is corrupt. Do we send more troops, stay the same or back off and out?
Pakistan continues to harbor the Taliban and probably Osama bin Laden while the USA gives Pakistan millions. Something has got to give.
The economy is bad.
Joblessness defies recovery.
Banks are still failing.
Foreclosures are rampant.
The deficit is out of sight. Spending continues.
The arrests for possible domestic threats and actions are up.
The dollar is in jeopardy as the reserve currency.
China's influence in Asia Minor and east Africa is growing as they buy their way in.
Israel/Gaza/Hamas is still a sore point and dealing with them is difficult politically. Did I say, Palestine?
Iran, nuke, no nuke, wait, don't wait, talk, talk is a thron in the side of the freer world.
Green agenda here, in the EU, in Asia and the cost/benefit combined with the job situation.
Education on a front or back burner?
Global trade: imbalances, trade deals, protectionism
Re-sizing the relationship with Russia
Aid to Africa: Sudan, Somalia, etc.
Constitutional issues continue - expanding power of the federal government
Muslim backlash due to extreme domestic events
Gays in the military coming out
Health Care of course
World hunger, US obesity
Bipartisan effort or not
immigration - borders, workers, amnesty
Transition out of Iraq
India KashmirPakistan - borders again
Burma - a close shave or complete overhaul
Refugees
Al Qaeda is out of Afghanistan, but what good is that?
Opening borders to those with Aids

How can Obama be so relaxed looking...it would crush me?
I've worried about him this week. Looks like he's going from slim to skinny, neck thinner. I say let the guy have a smoke in the rose garden without comment. Let him and Michelle get out of the White House (mom in law is there you know). The man has a lot on him.
Sometimes I think Obama is like Reagan and hands it over to his people to handle things and puts it out of his mind, then again i think Obama is like Carter and tries to micromanage everything. I know Obama isn't going to find relaxation like Bill Clinton did.
We need him to remain strong, rested, alert and healthy. I wish he would not put himself out there in reach so much. Remember, this is the MOST DANGEROUS JOB IN AMERICA -- being President. Also, everything he does affects many people. What a burden!
(add to the list, or take one off if you can solve it)

Because politicians lover power and are never satisfied with what they have. Face it, everybody in Congress dreams of being President, but most realize they have no chance and so don't even try because the effort is not worth it.
"I just thank God it's Obama in there, not McCain/Palin. I shudder to think of your list in their hands ...." - brat
This is like choosing between Tweedledee and Tweedledum. No matter who you pick, things will be bad.
As far as President Obama, has anyone noticed how quickly his hair grayed? I did. The world is messed up, and it ain't getting better. The UN is trying to fix this by getting more power, but if you read the Copenhagen treaty, it makes many many more problems. Not only that, the media either loves you or hates you as President depending solely on your party affiliation. Make no mistake, Fox did not make sensationalist biased media, they just popularized it.

With everything that's going, why would anyone want to be President?
God help him. He needs all he can get.
To everyone who is cheerleading his failure please know that if he fails, our country fail. I didn't vote for him, and I'm not likely to vote for his re-election. That doesn't mean I'm hoping for his failure.
Take care!
