self-taught rn doesnt sound too safe to me...but what else will 29k get you?

My title speaks for itself I believe....
Nearly finished with nursing school (only one qrt left after this one) and currently studying for an exam tomorrow.....and I'm frustrated. Shocker, eh? Truth be told, I'm not frustrated with my knowledge level, but rather, the way I have had to obtain my knowledge..... yes, clinicals are very beneficial...but the lectures? I may as well slap ST after my RN once I pass my boards.... standing for "Self-Taught"!
Currently, a common saying amongst my equally frustrated peers is "C=RN" meaning that you truly only need to "pass" to qualify to sit for your boards...and "What do you call an RN that passed her NCLEX with the lowest score?" - "RN!".... so this ridiculous desire I have to be the "best" I can be is somewhat over-rated...too bad I cant turn it off :)
Perhaps I just need to relax and not concern myself with knowing every little detail of every disorder...after all, its not actually possible (at least not with MY brain capacity) and yet, whatever I dont know, is GUARANTEED to be on my exam tomorrow.... and for those of you never having been through this curriculum...suddenly, an 80% is a C and if you fall below an 80%, you fail. For the exams we have, this means you cant miss more than 10 questions out of 50.
Now, keep in mind that our study guide for the last 2 exams was 3/4 of a page...and this one is over 2 pages! - with 1 1/2 pages of that being topics we NEVER covered in lecture...... this is not unusual. Actually, most of our exams cover more material NOT covered than covered.... so I have basically forked out 29K to teach myself...something seems a little wrong about that, don't youthink? AND which makes me a little uneasy about caring for patients in 6 months or so as an RN...
So....maybe I just needed to vent a moment...or maybe I need some other nursing students or RN's to tell me it's going to be ok....I'm not sure WHAT I need right now to be honest...other than a week's vacation and a meal not involving Weight Watchers points!
alright, I'll quit my little rant.....thanks for listening! Back to the books I go.....

Good luck with that! Some days you'll get mature, others not so much. Sad really.

If true, then admirable..however...how does that equate to this blogger and the perception that she does not expect to do homework or read?
I am curious about your perceptions about the lives/thoughts/motives of others?

God help the legal profession then, but you should fit right in with some of the lawyers.

And knows NOTHING about nursing school, perhaps even school.
The homework nursing students do would put most to shame! I know I've been there.
