crazy flippin' neighbors

Here's the story. This is my neighborhood. Seriously.

I ended up having to go pick my child up from elementary school because the bus couldn't bring the kids home.
I swear, my neighbors are crazy. I don't know what it is about this place, but the police and/or other emergency responders have been to almost every house on my street for one thing or another! This is just the latest in the crazy things that have happened here.
Since I moved here not quite 4 years ago, a neighbor's house has caught on fire, a few days later, a neighbor hung himself, that same summer a dresser fell on a child and killed him, yes, killed him. He was 3. My neighbor across the street threatened to put dog poison down at his mailbox so the sheriff paid him a little visit. Same neighbor got into a fight with his brother that spilled out of the house and into the yard. Police came. another neighbor had a worker fall and severly broke his leg. another neighbor had her husband removed from the house. I'm sure that worked out well for him since she was pregnant with the back door neighbor's baby. His wife was too. This past summer a neighbor's water heater exploded, sending him to the hospital and blowing his garage door apart.
The neighbor up the street has had the police visit her several times since she moved in. Domestic disturbance. Great environment for the new baby her teenage daughter just delivered.
Now this. What is wrong with this 'hood? Maybe there's something in the water.

Sheba, I agree. Random behavior happens in all neighborhoods. The safest neighborhood I ever lived in was the first one after I was married. It was ruled by a grandmother who was 4'11, weighed 90 pounds, and kept a gun in her bathrobe (which she wore 24 7 ). She was in her 70s, she had seen it all, and she did not flinch at calling a hammer a hammer.
