This one is a little longer.
It is about 10 seconds between each picture change, there is more information to absorb in this one than the first one.

Which proves my point - 99.9% of every species ever to walk the earth is now extinct.
And yet life florishes.

I agree in a way, and not in a way. The most tenacious life I think, is the lower forms. Intelligent life is the one that commits suicide, fails to reproduce, and is completely dependent on lower forms - which can live without us, and besides, there is so very little intelligent life.
Life itself is constantly dying off, and out. It seems a miracle that it keeps coming back, and we still can't explain how it originated and why it isn't still happening in front of us.
I want to know why space isn't FULL of light. What is there out there that captures it? There's all that space and so minute an amount of matter.
One of the excuses for leaving the garden and partaking of the tree of knowledge is seeing further out into the stars. I doubt we hardly know anything near what is 'real' but we are on the journey and all of us can appreciate that.

I think you wildly over-estimate the capacity of intelligent life to create a man-made (or bug-eyed-monster made) extinction level event. Life is remarkablly tenacious. Intelligent life is even more so.

What a laugh....... we are so stupid at this point in evolution we have no idea what the truth is. Our minds could not even comprehend the mechanics of all this.... and mathematics? (A made up language of symbols we use to quantify nature) That's what we use to define the universe?
True reality must be amazing!

There is positively no way that life here on earth is the only life there is in the whole universe. We may not have contact during our physical lifetime.....(well actually I believe there's been contact since the dawn of humankind but that's for another blog)I'm confident that eventually our descendants here in this 3rd dimensional existence we call "reality" will have contact with other folks from the universe.

I've tried it a bunch of times, but the room still goes dark every time I flip the switch. I also broke down once on a back country road with no flashlight, and for the life I me I couldn't get any light to appear for me that night either.
