how about them yankees
Published Nov. 5, 2009Views: 391
While the BoSox were watching from their living rooms the Yankees were taking another title. I felt it was good series and that the Phillies gave it one hell of try. However in the end the Yankee bats and pitching was too much for them. Lets hear it for the 27th time.

I grew up with the yankees on FREE tv in the summer, with the windows open. Great memories. I don't get that excited anymore. I hate that they are tearing down the old stadium. You are right, the tickets are too expensive. It is too much about income with steinbrenner.

Lol. I have to admit that there is a certain amount of jealousy involved in my posts. I'm a Cards fan, second most world series chamionships. They fell apart during September and October. :(
I contend that Yankees fans can't get as excited as other teams' fans when they win because with such a massive payroll, they are perrenial favorites. If they win, it was expected, if they lose it is a travesty.

Matsuai has been plagued with some medical problems that have slowed him down in the field but hasn't effected his bat any.

Were you drinking when you watched the games? I admit Sabathia didn't do well but AJ Burnett shut them down in his first outing. Yes he did struggle on 3 day's rest but you can't judge a man on his second game in 3 days.

"No thanks, son", he says. "I just bought one."
Was as true 30 years ago as it is now. I just miss Billy Martin, a buon anima.

Oh. And Philly, Boston and the Mets all sold a higher percentage of their seats this year than the Yanks. (As did 4 other teams, but I just listed those in the northeast.)
