. . . but hard to aruge with the Truthfulness of the piece.
" A troll is
someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.Trolls are a fact of life on the internet & lots of usenet groups, mail lists, & other forums have spent huge amounts of time & energy dealing with them. Usually moderators take care of it with banning & troll whispering. But ETP's moderators're us & we can't ban members, so we've gotta ignore it & D its posts. Too bad most of us don't like to D & tho there are people who are really disciplined, folks like me are weak & respond to trolls.
Trouble is, that's exactly what it wants. It doesn't care if you agree, argue, poke fun, or flame. All it wants is to sucker you into giving it attention & disrupting the forum.
Want to try something different?
Next time you take the bait, post a recipe. That way something useful comes from it. When next I feed a troll, I'm giving it a COOKIE.
Ingredients:
- 1 Package (6 oz) Troll Boulder Bits (6 oz pkg of semisweet chocolate morsels is also good)
- 1 Package (6 oz) Troll Bits (M&M candies will do)
- 1 Cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 1/2 Cup (2 sticks) unsweetened butter, or margarine, softened
- 1/2 Cup sugar
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 1/4 Cup warm water
- 1/2 Cup coarsely chopped pecans (or walnuts)
- Melt 1/2 cup of the chocolate morsels in the top half of a double boiler, over hot, not boiling water. Let cool.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; Set aside
- In a large bowl of an electric mixer, at medium speed, beat butter, sugar and egg until light and fluffy. At a low speed, add the melted chocolate and warm water. Then beat in the flour mixture until just combined, do not over mix.
- With a spoon, stir in the remaining chocolate pieces, M&M's and nuts. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls, 3 inches apart, onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Remove and cook on a wire rack.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve with ice cold milk, or espresso. "
