operation housecall

This is sure to make liberals' heads explode, so just don't read it, if you are still hurting from last night.

If you can’t make it to the Capitol Hill health care protest in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, there’s still plenty of work to be done from your own backyard.

Tea Party Patriots has a target phone/fax list for Operation Housecall.

Get busy!

***

For motivation:

The health care bill headed for a vote in the House this week costs $1.2 trillion or more over a decade, according to numerous Democratic officials and figures contained in an analysis by congressional budget experts, far higher than the $900 billion cited by President Barack Obama as a price tag for his reform plan.

While the Congressional Budget Office has put the cost of expanding coverage in the legislation at roughly $1 trillion, Democrats added billions more on higher spending for public health, a reinsurance program to hold down retiree health costs, payments for preventive services and more.

Many of the additions are designed to improve benefits or ease access to coverage in government programs. The officials who provided overall cost estimates did so on condition of anonymity, saying they were not authorized to discuss them.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has referred repeatedly to the bill’s net cost of $894 billion over a decade for coverage.

Mark Levin and Jon Voight will be on the Capitol Steps!

“We the People” will come knocking on Congress’ door noon hour, Thursday.

In another era, it was Paul Revere red flagging patriots with the immortal words, “The British are coming!”.

Until patriots arrive on Congress steps Thursday at noon, it’s “We the People are coming!” The courageous, Paul Revere like call to action is from bottom liner Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, who wouldn’t let Democrats—who changed the locks on doors against the opposition—keep her from turning the tide on the countdown to Obamacare.

Waiting on the Congress steps will be radio talk-show giant, bestselling Liberty & Tyranny author and beloved American folk hero Mark Levin along with “Midnight Cowboy”, “Obama-is-the-false-prophet” crusader Jon Voight.

Being blacked out and bypassed by the mainstream media has only made Bachmann all the more determined to flood Congress with patriots.

Within mere hours of her rally call, the Tea Party Express together with the doctors of Take Back America and the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the patriots of Tea Party Patriots Live and Resistnet vowed to “Stand together, speak from the heart and remind Washington we will stand together to protect this country.”

“For months we have all been working feverishly to make sure that government run health care legislation is not passed. We have done it all,” writes Amy Kremer of Tea Party Express.

“We’ve yelled.
“We’ve called.
“We’ve emailed.
“We’ve written.
“We’ve rallied.
“We’ve even marched on the Capitol.

“Still our cries and concerns have not been heard.

“We have cried tears of despair and shouted in frustration, but still many are not listening.”

Michele Bachmann heard, and what started out as the lone voice of a single representative will be joined across the nation by patriots who could not make it to DC on the the notice allowed singing “God Bless America” across the fruited plains.

This event will not be as big as the 9-12 event since there have only been 4 days of planning. I'm sure the media coverage will suck, as usual...but that's OK.  Go to DC, if you can.  There are 3 buses leaving out of Raleigh, with different organizations, that I know of.  They will all be "day trips".

opposing blog to be posted in 3,2,1... LOL  I'll go ahead and give you the highlights of it... Michelle Maulkin is insane, Bachmann is crazy, blah,blah,blah...racists, bigots, blah, blah, blah

If you want more info, drop me a line and I'll hook you up.

I was busy last night and didn't get to read the GOP proposed healthcare bill; but it's less than 250 pages, so I'll try to take a look at it today. They may be in for a booty-chewing, too!

Please give us the website for this one. I Have to go to dentist but I'd like to read it when I get back.........

I heard some discussion about tri-care the other night

Tennessee has had Ten-care since Clinton was in office and the governor being interviewed one night on talks show was begging for assistance. Said it was biggest budget cost they had now as it increased every year. They had to follow federal guidelines without federal assistance. Said they liked it and the federal helped pay for it for three years and then they stopped and the state has had to foot he bill and it is breaking them.. I wonder if the same thing may happen if they give states the choices of health care and then stop backing them with funds later on like TN.

I hope you're only opposing the plan on the table, and not a general healthcare plan with a public option, otherwise you can't really call yourselves "We the People," because "the people" want reform with a public option but not the plan on the table.

Oh, and one of my conservative friends read the Republican healthcare plan and had this to say: "The Republican Health Insurance Reform proposal is one of the biggest pieces of crɑp I've ever seen. Even from an anti-government conservative standpoint it is completely useless."

well, if the taxes pass, that they want to pass on things like medical devices, for example; that will send the cost of procedures for EVERYTHING up...think stethiscopes, MRI's wheelchairs, all the equipment that's used in hospitals and doctor offices... the good news is that I'm reading that they MAY end up waiting for a vote until next year. The legislation being proposed is so bad, I think they know they probably won't have the votes needed...who knows...but the more I read, the more it looks like there will be substantial number of people going to DC tomorrow - to actually go to the offices and send a message. You KNOW I'm going to be there!

Yes, I can see it coming. Isn't it something...you work hard, do as they ask, and then they change the rules.

ginger, I heard some discussion about tri-care the other night, but I didn't get the details. I imagine Tri-care and every other Healthcare service is going to be affected.

Tmed, being that we're a retired military family, have you heard if there will be any changes in our coverage?

Less than 250 pages? That's a volume...:-)

Good morning Tmedlin. I agree with Lolly. We might not share the same ideals, but your passion is inspiring. :)
