Hard to believe this song is 15 years old. I think I heard that they wrote it backstage sort of spur of the moment. I wonder how many songs were written like this? "One Toke Over The Line" and "Candles in the Rain" come to mind.

I know what you mean about Bruce.

He is also, Positive Proof that if you put USA or Amrica, or whatever into a song, it WILL be a big hit. No matter how terrible it sounds at first. (it grew on me, now i love it)

"Riding out tonight to case the promised land" sealed the deal for me with The Boss. But it took a while to get used to him without the beard. LOL
