Thanks, everyone, for your warm welcome!
About the Azores: Mild climate, it's kinda windy and rains a lot, Portugese territory, but only only 3 hours ahead of NC on the clock. The locals are nice, but I wouldn't want to date the women, because they are Stalk-aresk...in that they get your number, and y'all do the math. :) The food is good. I ate my first ostrich steak over there. It's decent, but not beef.
There isn't a lot of room to play because the island is 18x11 miles. The people I work with are cool, and fun to hang out with, so that makes it easier.
Y'all keep me posted with the local goings on, so I can keep track whilst I'm gone.
Yeah, my mom's cool, and am glad she showed me golo. We'll be able to keep in touch (provided the base <at work> doesn't have this site "filetered".)
Regarding your thanks for my service: It's something I enjoy doing, and definitely appreciate that everyone here has my back, cuz I've got y'all's backs, too.
