ernie asks to those who lost possessions in a fire......

Hello, All,
It has been nearly 4 months since my house fire and now I'm at a point that I don't know if it's considered 'normal' (which my life has never been), but, I'm at a point that I don't want stuff anymore. Is that considered 'normal' or has anyone been through that stage when this happened to you?
I have lost several biographies, autographed books and materials, acknowledgement from Martha Stewart from when I wrote her in West Virginia, an autographed book from Jimmy Carter whom I met in 2001, not sure about my Deen Brothers cookbook when I met Bobby Deen in Savannah last June and all kinds of personal items. However, now, I feel like I don't want anything any more and I'm wondering the way I feel is like the way others felt who have been in the same situation.
Please let me know and let me know if you ever got over those feelings.

I think it has to do with being numb from the hurt of losing everything, and I do believe it will pass as things heal.

C'mon now. Ernie not only lost everything. His beloved pets were killed in that fire. Have a heart.
