beef jerky for the troops

The beef jerky for the troops campaign done here on GOLO was a rousing success. I'm getting ready to ship a box with 100 bags of the salty snack to the troops stationed at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. Between the Chaplain and my son, they will give out as far as it will go at the Sunday church service. There will be a letter inside the box explaining that it was through the efforts of the GOLO community.
Thanks to everyone that donated. And special thanks to Sandra and Lolly who did most of the work. Thanks also to Gingerleigh who went with me to Ft. Bragg yesterday and used her military credentials to completely wipe out the commissary! We came out with 92 bags of jerky and I bought 8 more on the way home to make it an even 100.
I have instructed my son to take some pictures of them opening the box. When I get them they will be on GOLO.

I am going to get some boxes ready for Christmas for some Soldiers...
Golden would love to send one to your Son so he can share with his Unit if that is Okay. I normally put in Candy, Cakes, Cereal, Slim Jims, etc in one of those boxes you buy at the Post Office for under $12.
