holly springs traffic alert: bass lake bridge closing temporarily

The DOT is temporarily closing the bridge over Bass Lake in Holly Springs next month. Details from NCDOT:
RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close the bridge over Bass Lake on Bass Lake Road (State Road 1393) between Salem Ridge Road and Briarglen Lane in Wake County on Monday, Nov. 2, for approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Motorists traveling on Hilltop-Needmor/Herbert Aiken Road needing to access Holly Springs Road via Bass Lake Road should use the following signed detour:
- Sunset Lake Road (S.R. 1301) to Holly Springs Road (S.R. 1152) to Bass Lake Road.
Motorists traveling on Holly Springs Road needing to access Hilltop-Needmor/Herbert Aiken Road via Bass Lake Road should use the following signed detour:
- Holly Springs Road to Sunset Lake Road to Bass Lake Road
The closure is necessary to perform preventative maintenance.
