NOT!!!!
LOL I keep reading how this movie is the scariest movie ever released or the scariest movie around.
OMG>. please do not waste your money as we did. I want my time back!
Aside from the constant reminders of why I don't like theaters (cell phones, talking, cutting up, kicking chairs, etc), this movie was a joke.
Everything you see in the trailer, save two 5 second clips, is in the film. If you don't think the trailer is all that? Then you'll hate the movie.
Think the trailer rocks? Then you just saw the movie.
Giving credit where credit is due, the cleverness of the way the film was done (husband always carrying around the camera in the house - because apparently that's what us folks do) was sort of ok. Blair Witch without all the jerking comes to mind.
Creepy factor? NONE
Scary factor? NONE ... ok, I'll be a little fair. You know those YouTube videos where everything is all fine and then suddenly out of no where there is a scary face and screaming on your screen? There was one scene exactly like that.. but you have to wait a long time to see it AND you can see it coming mintues before it is going to happen.
I was actually starting to nod off at one point.
I think the only possibility of this being a scary movie would be "hey what if this was happening to me". But obviously, even a paranormal believer like myself, knows this is rediculous.
The funny part is that the opening of the show (No credit by the way) says "Paramount pictures woud like to thank the families of...." and lists the names of the two people (characters in the film - their film names) as if this is suppose to be real. But it's not.
Bottom line? Want to spend $7 to $10 on something? Go find something you are bored by and do it. You'll have more fun...

One thing I have learned though, anything that is advertised to death usually is not worth the time or money.

Scary to me is creepy stuff and the unseen.
This movie, like many others I've seen lately, had a good concept.. and poor follow through.
I love Ghost Hunters and other stuff and hubby and I thought this might be fun. ...

I don't like horror or slasher movies anyway. Real life can be fricking scary and ugly enough.

I love horror movies, but I want 'em to be good and not B movies. I've never liked those. I won't be wasting my money on this one.

But thanks for the info. It'll save me wondering if I should spend the money.
God bless.
