halloween? or is it christmas already?

WTF?
So I'm out yesterday running some errands. It was my first "outing" since my surgery and the complication that followed (since Sept 1). While it felt really good to get out, though tiring, I noticed something in every store I went into that made me cringe....
THere were Christmas ornaments, christmas candies and christmas trees already up and displayed... NEXT TO THE HALLOWEEN STUFF.
What the hell?
We haven't gotten to Halloween yet, much less THanksgiving and store are already putting out Christmas stuff? WTF?
I know I've heard people joke that this stuff comes out earlier every year, but i never noticed till yesterday.
Early October is STUPID rediculous early for Christmas stuff to be out. I don't know why, but it really irritates me.

Going to get out and go to the farmer's market today and walk around a little.
I go back to work Thursday p/t. So I'm trying to get moving more.
We went to World Market, Sam's and a couple other places and all have christmas stuff out.
Like I said, I don't know why, but it really irritates me. I'd say I could just ban going to places that do this, but then I'd never have a store to go to I guess.
I agree with Smorg though - "Keep Ca$h In Chri$tmas". It's a joke. I doubt most people even truly realize what Christmas is suppose to be about anymore.

To those that have been out in the real world: Does Target have the light up pink flamingos this year? I didn't get one last year and really want one for my deck....

As much as I hate it being put up so early is the fact that when it actually comes time for that season, you can't find anything. It was all sold 2 months before!
