zombieland - a review

Someone told me I should repost for the non-weekend GOLOers. So what the heck.
It is movie review time. Today I saw Zombieland. Guy move? Abso-freaking-lutly and I loved it! I went in full well knowing that this had the potential to really suck. However, I found myself watching a very funny and irreverent movie that just kept me watching. Honestly, this is the best Woody Harrelson movie that I have see in some time. This movie was tailor made for him. Harrelson plays Tallahassee a zombie killing country boy. He is totally awesome in this movie.
The movie starts out with one young man - Columbus who tells us the rules for surviving a zombie apocalypse. Rule #1: Cardio! The ability to run fast and far is key to survival in a zombie apocalypse. The heaver people were eaten first. Rule #2: Double Tap! Many a possible survivor has been eaten simply because the ASSUMED the first shot took out the zombie. Hey don’t be stingy on ammo. If you get one down you put one more in their head. Rule #3: Beware of Bathrooms: Zombies seem to know when your vulnerable and have your pants down. Rule #4: Check the back seat! How many survivors bought it just because they didn’t check the back seat? He has many more that he details in the movie.
He meets up with Tallahassee and begin traveling together. They eventually meet two girls Wichita and Texarkana. They don’t use their real names but the towns they are from in case they have to shoot the zombie version of them.
When the credits roll there are less than ten people who are actually named in the cast. Remember it is 99% zombie out there. Yet one of those names is going to catch you by surprise unless you read it somewhere else. If some other review out there mentions this person then they are a jackarse because the surprise makes it.
There is not much else to really explain because the movie is a lot of fighting zombies and the interaction of our rag tag survivors as they try to make it to California all the while trying to locate the amazingly elusive Twinkie.
I say 99% of guys will love it and well I don’t know about gals. You will have to determine how you feel about gratuitous zombie violence.
So in the words of Tallahassee, “It is time to nut up or shut up”. I give it a three and a half out of four stars.
You will laugh out loud - and that is worth the price of admission.

at any rate....im 100% female, and LOVED this movie. it was awesome!
