Here is yet another movie review. All About Steve.
This was actually a very funny movie. Thomas Haden Church and Bradley Cooper were very funny as the traveling CCN newsmen. Sandra Bullock was also very good as the crazy lady chasing her want to be boyfriend Bradley Cooper (Steve) across the country. I was pleasantly surprised with some of the supporting cast which included several actors that I had not seen in any of the previews.
This is a romantic comedy which puts it in what we guys like to call the chick flick category. What really makes this a chick flick is when early on Steve (Bradley Cooper) and Mary (Sandra Bullock) are in the back of Steve’s van about to have sex. Well Steve opts out because of Mary’s incessant talking about obscure factoids. Now, I am a guy and I think I can safely speak for at least most guys here. If Sandra Bullock is taking off her clothes to have sex with us, it would not matter if she is speaking in tongues and we are fairly sure she is possessed by Satan. We will still have sex with her. Chick flicks show men as women think men are and not as how men are.
I still very much enjoyed it and had a few good laughs. It did not have the all to predictable ending which was refreshing.
Easily worth the price of admission. Don’t expect Oscar level performances or anything like that. It is just a nice get away from your day to enjoy yourself.
So in closing, remember ladies that a single man being chased by Sandra Bullock for sex is always going to get caught (and I mean fast). We can’t run that fast.
