inside wral: reporters celebrate babies, friendship

WRAL reporters Adam Owens and Mike Charbonneau have a lot in common.
After college, they worked at WNCT-TV in Greenville and were roommates during that time. Now they work at WRAL and live just a few doors down from each other on the same street. These best friends are also celebrating their new roles as “Daddy.”
Adam and his wife, Lynn, welcomed a baby girl, Emma Lynn Owens, just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Emma weighed in at 6 pounds, 4 ounces.
“We are so happy!” Adam wrote.
Mike and his wife, Leah, welcomed a baby boy, Mason Raymond Charbonneau, at 6:08 a.m. on May 15. Mason weighed 6 pounds, 14.5 ounces and was 19 inches long.
“We’re all thrilled to be starting this new baby journey at the same time!” said Mike.
