last minute travel???

Happy Monday, Everyone!!!
My husband is currently in training at Scott AFB in Indiana. The closest airport is St. Louis, MO. Husby said I could fly out there if I wanted to for the weekend...
But everything is SO EXPENSIVE just for a little impromtu trip. Does anyone have any good recommendations for last-minute travel sites where I could get a pretty good discount??
Thanks in advance for any suggestions...
And, yes... I'll have to go through RDU - although I laugh at the "International" component of the name!! :0)

I think you can specify the maximum number of hops you're willing to accept. Just be aware that you have to pay in advance, and the flight times for the flight you're assigned to can vary from very early in the morning to very late at night - keep this in mind when choosing your departure/arrival dates!

I usually use Travelocity - I've never had much luck on Orbitz, though... wish we could still travel somewhere last minute for under $200... hahaha.
And Speedy, you are correct on where Scott AFB is. I got the two states mixed up!! ;0(
