The tradegy surrounding ex-NFL quaterback Steve McNairfurther highlights the ultimate danger for any man to cheat or commit adultery on his wife. Anything and everything is liable to happen to you if you go after the "strange". You can get by for a while, but ultimateley you will not get away. No matter if you are a multimillionaire, a president, a govenor, a senator, a truck driver or whatever, it simply does not pay in the end for you to cheat. Somewhere along the way, you will trip up: you will be caught in a lie, somebody will see you, your wife will come up on some evidence and confront you or in the case of Steve McNair, you could get blown away by the other woman or by your spouse or HER spouse. What about STDs? What about 'love childs"?
The end result is always disastrous. The is a passage in Proverbs that says the adulteress will hunt for the preciouis life. Your life is precious, and it is hard to image that as you have a roving eye, YOU are the one who is being hunted down for destruction. We men are moved by what we see and lust can easily kick in. Whatever you do, don't fall for the trap! RUN if you need to. I bet if Sanford, Clinton, Edwards, Spitzer, Ensign or any number of other national figures could do it all over again, they would never touch the woman or the women who destroyed their lives, their careers, their legacies, their children. Think of the shame you would have to walk in for the rest of your life? All that for a n u t? A few hours of pleasure? I don't think so. When the commandment says T h ou shall not commit a du ltery, it was there for a reason. The One who commanded it knew what he was talking about, knew what the consequences would be and warned us not to do it. Nowadays, it seems that judgement comes quickly, so if you are thinking about it, you have been warned. If you are doing it, for heaven's sake STOP before it is too late.

I'd like to add, if a person is so unhappy in their marriage that they kill their spouse and kids, why not just get a divorce? What is the deal?

They do not rue their actions; they rue getting caught. The only thing they would do differently is put in place additional precautions to prevent their discovery. They never change. Pathetic people who cheat on their spouses never do.

for real. in all honesty though, i think the fear of losing your family is what drives those folks crazy.
