My son just told me yesterday that he has gotten word that his unit of the 82nd airborne was getting deployed to Afghanistan in Sept. He's been enjoying being stationed at Bragg and coming home on weekends. Now reality has hit home, and he's just hoping...... he comes home. I know a lot of Goloers have sons deployed and I've prayed for them. I hope my friends at GOLO will do the same for me and my son.

You and your son will be in my prayers. My son in law was in Iraq with the Marines - I don't think I sleep thru the night the entire time he was deployed.
