little old country church

Saw this beautiful church in Wise, N.C. the other day and though the song doesn't really go along with the scene, it does kiind of remind me of the place. And it's hard to hard not to tap your feet on a Sunday morning when you're listening to the Stanley Brothers. ;)
Did get a few looks from the locals when I dismounted the bike and walked about taking pictures. You would think everyone that passes thru that little crossroads would be unable to drive by without stopping to take some pictures. But then again maybe it's such a common thing that they just wonder who is the latest shutterbug to stop and take away memories of their beautiful church.
This is on Highway One near the Virginia line, in Warren County.

Were you there for the 4th of July Parade in Wise? We stay at Lake Gaston in a little cove (on Smith Creek) called Friendly Acres. That is where I've been all week. We've had to make the trek into Wise a couple of times for groceries and such. Each time I pass that church, I love just looking at it. But it has never occured to me to take a picture!
You really captured the beauty with the blue sky and clouds, as well as the greenery! Thank you for sharing!!

Since we have the "Nomination Seconded" and a few comments bolstering my suggestion.... I'll only take 5% of the gross revenue from the sales after publication.
