colin powell warns obama

Finally, someone who endorsed Obama is seeing that he is messing up. Something a lot of us has seen all along.

WASHINGTON (July 4) - Colin Powell worries that President Barack Obama is trying to tackle too many big issues at one time and he offers this advice: take a hard look at costs and consider the additional red tape that will be created.

"Keep it as small as possible. Keep the tax burden on the American people as small as possible, but at the same time, have government that is solving the problems of the people," he said.

Others are also starting to wake up. Warren Buffett recently warned about Cap & Trade, calling it a huge regressive tax and terrible for our economy.

Although it is now too late, the best thing this group of incompetants could do for the economy would be to do nothing. Ditto with healthcare. Ditto with so called "greenhouse emissions".

Viking it's like shouting at a wall- they are full of hate and resentment tonight. It is not worth the time spent typing.

I wonder if Colin Powell could advise Gov. Purdue a little bit...please?

"Hmmm...all of those seem pretty critical to me."

Important yes, no money to do them all at once as is being proposed. We're bankrupting this country with the grand plans. We can't do it all without sever impact on every sector of the economy.

I think what Powell's feedback did not say is as interesting as what he said. He didn't say that the actions taken by the current Administration are incorrect (as he's had to say of past Administrations) but that the issues chosen encompasses too much. To him, and others, I pose the following question: which issue (or issues) should the current Administration not address - the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq? our deteriorating relationship with Korea? other foreign relations? the economy? health care? the climate? Hmmm...all of those seem pretty critical to me.

Colin Powell is another one who benefitted from affirmative-action . Nice enough guy, but his bread is buttered on one side and he got all the credit for General Schwartzkopf's genius strategy in Iraq.

"By looking at the polls on that article, it is amazing that he became President."

The MCcain and Palin ticket was a joke! MCain was too old and Palin was exposed by Katie Couric as a not ready for prime time player. What I find amazing is so many voted for that. Anyway, the BBQ is calling...Happy fireworks everyone!!!

"I voted for Obama.

;)

He's not any more f-ed up than any of the last few presidents."

Meh_Whatever, You ma'am, are part of the problem then! I hope you've learned your lesson!

"He's not any more f-ed up than any of the last few presidents.'

Now, theres an endorsement. But just wait a tick, he's just getting started.
