Good morning everybody!
As America celebrates Independence Day, let's take a moment to think what independence really means - independence is a state of freedom, physical and mental, from oppression.
Oppression is not always brought on by external forces and we often carry on our shoulders the weight of past choices or the paralyzing sense of helplessness in face of trying experiences of the present.
In order to be free, our nation must be free from hunger, hatred, religious intolerance and racial discord.
So, for today at least, let's let go of what oppresses us, let's remember those in our country who are struggling, and if we can, let's extend a hand to give them the opportunity to be free.

Let's be kind to our great land and our neighbors, and most of all, let's remember our soldiers with gratitude in our hearts, for without their valiant effort we would not be the wonderful, free, amazing country we are.
