power bills could soar under obama's energy plan
Published Jul. 4, 2009Views: 438
The only thing that I have left is a massive dose of SheudenFrued (sp?). It makes me happy to think of all the obama-tards who voted to increase their own taxes. Cap and Tax....................I can afford it. They can't..............

"the costs for any form of heating/cooling will skyrocket."
Which means more people will be turning to more energy efficient HVAC products which in turn means more money in my pocket. :)

No, the government will force each home to undergo an 'energy audit', especially at time of purchase/sale.
Now, while that may benefit you in the short term, in the long term it will kill spending by many. You can't expect government to make YOU rich and the rest of the general population suffer financially and have it last.
But as long as it works for you and all, enjoy it while it lasts.

Ladyblue - keep in mind that those who write and pass such laws are financially set and have no concern beyond their own. Have we not seen that the congress critters are a protected class? They write the laws, they control their own pay, they control their own level of benefits.
It harms them in no way. It only harms those they don't care about, their constituents.

That's all I can do Nancy and I'm putting all the extra money I can away. I haven't been able to do that for a while.........

And a wise choice that is! For as you know, where one law benefits you, a dozen will catch you in their net as well, costing you more.
No one will escape this Cap and Trade expense, no one. I pray it does not pass at all. I agree we need to control pollution, but this is not the way to accomplish it nor will it help any sector of our population enough to offset the overall damage it will do economically on all levels.
Winston - when enough legislation passes that it becomes so oppressive only one of two things will result.
One, people revolt and use their voting power appropriately.
Two, people cheat any way they can to make ends meet.
Ok, so maybe both :)

Now, I've also read where lipstick does well in tough times, it's a somewhat inexpensive 'pick me up' for women. Myself? Not so much - but that's a 'side' business you could have too LOL
I can visualize the hot dog stand now ... "ketchup or mustard on that dog Mam? And after you finish eating it we have a lovely array of colors in new lipstick to refresh you."
LOL!

I don't know who believes it will only be heating/cooling bills - in fact, I believe most people understand it's total impact, at least I can hope they do!
