So, I'm walking out of the building today, rather early and our receptionist Jewel points to a box and says: "Angela that's for you."
"Me?" I ask, admittedly taken back a bit.
"Yes?"
"Who dropped it off?"
"Some guy with a crutch."
I start thinking about that for a minute and I must tell you that I immediately thought of the one-armed man in the movie, The Fugitive.
So I took it with me to the car (after making sure that it wasn't ticking) and finally opened it when I got home.
I could not believe the beautiful clock and inscription thanking WRAL, GOLO and me personally for community service on our second anniversary.
Whoever is behind this, please know that I am humbled and deeply touched. It's the last thing I expected and I cannot thank you enough.
If I didn't know it for certain before this day, I sure as heck know now that you all appreciate GOLO and the work we do here.
Thank you.
Have a great holiday weekend. And I can't wait to showe everyone the beautiful clock when I get back to work next week.
Now, someone please reveal the identity of the man with the crutch. :-)
