I just listened to this almost painful interview with Mike Allen (from Politico) about the media hit piece against Sarah Palin in Vanity Fair.
Whether you agree with the premise from Vanity Fair or not, this interview plainly and painfully (for Mike Allen) demonstrates the lack of journalistic integrity with which the main stream media has covered Gov. Palin.
The audio clip starts with the interivew with Mike Allen on Morning Joe this morning. It then moves into how that interview is dissected.
newsflash to Mike: you might want to either learn the sidestep shuffle or give an honest and accurate assessment of what is being written about palin.

Morons... IMO, the article was a perfect example of why repubs are losing elections.

They did her, as well as the American voters, a disservice by not taking the time to prep her for her debut on the national stage. They truly 'threw her to the dogs' and hoped for the best.
I observed, and shared with YukonJohn, that the now infamous Couric interview left me feeling that Palin was in shock. I called it 'starstruck'. She looked and sounded like her inner thoughts were "Oh my gosh! I'm REALLY being interviewed by Katie Couric!"
From that time onward, the media were ruthless in bashing her. From those in Alaska, she has been a very good governor and is well liked and admired there.
The McCain campaign's 'mishandling' of her by the surprise nomination literally handed the media a new 'whipping boy/girl' to vent their displeasure with the right upon.
And that is a sad statement about the media.

Palin's a dynamic woman, not ready for prime time national politics, and not prepared or handled well by her own party, but above all her sin was in scaring the Obama camp after she presented herself well at the convention and give new life to the already fatally whipped Republican Party (beaten by Bush's presidency).
She was treated especially bad I think because she was a woman and republican.
There is that sn*ggering element of the Democratic party that is unlikeable and barely bearable in their use of assassination by ridicule. Only the naive consider Leno & Letterman politically neutral.
Dems attack Palin still??? She should be their ideal candidate, IMO, in that she would NOT win -- older, not wiser.
