texting while driving -twd
Published Jun. 30, 2009Views: 590
Why is it that people feel so compelled to stay in touch with others while they're driving? This is just a prime example of how selfish people can be while TWD'n. Put down the phone and drive people. It's that simple. There is nothing that important to risk the safety of others, while you feel it so necessary to text while driving. I just happened to see this article on yahoo and it kinda set me off. Sorry for the rant but, I saw someone doing this on my way to work this morning. ID10T!

Eating in the car. However, we're not hearing calls for McDonalds to put tamper-proof seals on takeout bags. Why? Because politicians really don't care about fixing problems (e.g accidents due to distraction)- they care about passing laws to make it look like they're fixing something while aggravating as few people as possible. It's all about the illusion of effort.
The Soccor Moms get livid when they see someone texting: that is, if they're not too busy putting on makeup or stuffing their face or trying to keep junior in the car seat quiet. Where does it end?
How much control over your life are YOU willing to give the government?

driving? Why do they keep those things to their ears all day long. It amazes me how some people leave and breath for technology. computers and cell phones. If they cared as much about their families, then we'd have one heck of a country. You can't go to doctors office,(even though they say cell phones off) grocery store, mall or the bathroom without someone looking like they have an appendage attached to their head and talking to themselves.

Is the government designed to keep stupid people in check? Occasionally it should when their stupidity infringes upon the rights of others. It's unrealistic to create legislation based on texting because literally anything can distract from the road. I agree with TechRescue. The government is not your mother. We need a balance somewhere.

If the phone is in your hand, and you're distracted, and you have bad driving including weaving or causing some other issue, I'm just going to write you for reckless.
