All these stories on the news lately about child molesters and murderers has really got me thinking about what a B.S. legal system we have. They give drug dealers more time in prison and higher bonds in jail than they do molesters and murderers. What is wrong with this picture? The court systems need to start making examples out of these sick monsters and maybe some of them would think twice about acting out their disgusting fantasies by hurting some innocent child. Instead they can ruin a childs life and half the time all they get is probabtion and are still free to prey on other children. I don't agree with people selling drugs but the fact is their is always gonna be crackheads out here and there is always gonna be someone willing to make the drug and sell it. Is getting these people off the streets more important than protecting our children?

all child molestors need to be dropped off an a deserted island, let them be pervers with each other and survive on their own, dont give them any comforts or food or water, let them make their own way

It's important to also look up the applicable statute for each offender and educate yourself as to what it actually entails. That registry is deeply flawed.

My personal favorite example of this is §14‑190.17A - Third Degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
On face, it gives the impression to the average reader that there was an actual victimization of a child, when in fact the statutes criminalizes the possession of images of child pornography, even images such as cartoons which do not depict an actual living child. The statute in effect allows for the criminalization of thoughts.
We've drastically overreached.

Very true elcid. The actual regustry needs to detail age of victim and age of molester. So that if an 18 yr old boy gets caought with his 16 yr gf of 4 years he's not classified the same as a 40 somthing with a 12 yr old.
