I have prided myself in the past on not paying for a pattern! Usually I can find something free that is pretty close to what I'm looking for if I hunt hard enough online.
I have to turn in my thrifty crochet card. I just broke down and bought this pattern. I can't help myself. I just have to make a cute little dragon. I kind of hope that my sister is having a boy so that I can make one for him and justify the purchase as my girly girl niece would not be impressed with a dragon. (the first one will be living on a shelf in my place)
That being said, this chick has the coolest patterns. I really like the Starry Night Scarf too. I decided since I was turning in my thrifty card, I might as well buy that one too.
Baby dragons and koalas...oh my!

This chick makes them for $15 which is a great price when you consider the time invested in them and the yarn etc. She also makes them to order so you can pick the colors. :)
