strawberry pie receipe

Here you go Gran, this is simple and yummy! You can also do this with peaches too! Nice light summer pie.
2 Cups Granulated Sugar
6 T Cornstarch
1-4oz box sugar free strawberry jello (regular works fine too)
2 Cups Water
4 pts. Strawberries hulled and cut into quarters
2- 9" baked pie shells (sometimes I do a shortbread crust, or graham cracker crust too)
Cook sugar, cornstarch, jello and water until it thickens.
Place sliced up berries in baked pie shells.
Pour sauce over berrries and refrigerate until chilled.
Serve with whip cream or cool whip,
