we've lost one of our own

It is with a heavy heavy heart that I type these words.
Many of you already know, but some of you may not find out this very sad news until Monday, or even a few days after.
We have lost an amazing GOLO member. Mike Spencer, widely known on GOLO as "Studweiser" or Studley, has died.
We were first notified through this blog post written by Gary just before 11am on Saturday. In this post, Gary shared the news and expressed his love and reverence for Studley. An outpouring of emotion followed in the comments section.
This is a loss felt by so many of us here on GOLO. Studley was a faithful member. I know that he was a friend to so many here. He was a good guy. Genuine, honest and real.
I had the pleasure of meeting him several times. The first was at the GOLO anniversary party. The second when he and another GOLO member came to WRAL to meet me. We sat in the break room for about 30 minutes laughing and talking about GOLO.
Our third meeting was at the Centerfest Arts Festival in Durham last summer. I was blogging live from the GOLO booth and Studley showed up, along with his partner, Bear and we proceeded to have a few more laughs.
I know that many of you have memories of Studweiser. Please share them with us.
Let's honor his memory.
Rest in Peace, Mike!
Angela

Lolly: Stud, would writing help any? Maybe a journal?? This is an out there idea, but knowing your love of children - have you ever thought of doing a children's book about being different? about being true to one's self?
Stud: Lolly that is a great ideal!

"I am going to be taking some dishes of food over to Gary and Angel's this evening. If anyone wants to send something, you can let me know on my profile and I can pick it up on my way, if it is in the Garner/Raleigh area or nearby. My email is posted on my profile and I will need addresses to pickup from on the way.

Lolly... So Simple yet infinitely complex.
The Golology dept only has one person that is certified in the studies of Lolly, one of the many pre-Golo forces of our domain who has a quite simple yet, completely imperceptible equation:
(Lo)L/ly = (1/0)
Where L=Laughs; o=out; (ly) = 1 alu*
*alu: Astronomical laugh unit
In comprehensible terms, Lolly laughs so loudly, her laugh's volume is equal to (or greater than) that of the universal background radiation in it's entirety (that's pretty darn loud.)
Now if you listen very carefully, you can hear her at this moment.
