I beg you all to stop spending your money on products made in China. You are financing your own destruction. And your neighbors, and mine.
I think it would be better to just do without it if you can't find a substitution made elsewhere.

Like Rob Emanual said, they can't let a good crisis pass them by.
They need to take us down a peg and add additional stress while they can.

These are not the "U-boats" of WWII by any measure. These boats can stay down for up to 4 days before needing to resurface and recharge.
Unlike nuclear subs, which essentially are steam powered and make noise, the 'E-boats' (electric while submerged) are virtually silent.
Several times, Chinese E-boats have surfaced in the middle of US Navy aircraft carrier task forces off the coast of Asia, totally undetected until they pop up.
At least they don't hijack planes to fly into skyscrapers, eh?

I just cringe when I find things from China. I try REALLY hard to not buy them.

As for the Chinese, we're taking detailed sonar maps of waters near their coasts for strategic purposes (were can we move our subs to this week?) and possibly ruining fishing in that spot of ocean (noisy sonar!).

Maybe, but by dooming our economy for generations?
This is the first administration that I am aware of, that is putting the good of the nation at such per'il to acomplish their goal.
