No need to go into the stories about how this person or that person got away with it, or does the same thing and gets away with it because everyone should know by now that I do not see every comment on GOLO. Period.
When you post a link to my blog accusing me for "allowing it" you are assuming that I've seen it. Most times I have not, but I do have a look once it's brought to my attention, and deal with it accordingly. I'm sure many of you can attest to that.
Just to give you an idea, we get more than 3,000 comments posted each day, in the GOLO community alone. If it's reported for abuse, I will see it and it will be handled. Many of you are "above" reporting abuse under the voluntary GOLO no-snitch rule. So don't complain about what you're seeing if you won't take part in the steps that can lead to its removal.
With all of the talk about "enforcing guidelines," I say be careful what you wish for. Many of you have been given NUMEROUS passes because my goal is to grow this community, not hinder its growth. But those passes will need to end. You may not appreciate what you had until it's gone.
