durham water bill/ usage

I got my bi-monthly water bill today and was shocked- it was over $150. This time last year it was running about $80. I know there was a price increase last fall, and I know there are some things we can do to conserve a little more, but I wondered what the average water bill is for a family of 4 in North Durham. I assumed our usage was a little above average with 2 teenagers who shower everyday, but the price tag for this seems a bit high. I welcome all input about others who live in Durham and have seen the prices go up. It's not just me- right?

Panther- thank you. I will look at the City's web page again, they gave some tips there on how to look for a leak. The thing is this- according to the City our usage hasn't changed very much over the last few years- just the price keeps going up. When we moved into this house 7 years ago the bill was about $25 to 30 a month. $75 a months seems a bit extreme.
